Looking to add a Rolex Daytona SS Ceramic. If anyone is wanting a quick sale, reasonably priced from MSRP, Pm me.
Pls PM only to remain confidential. Lots of reseller/dealers here who I have no interest of dealing with.

I got mine MSRP from an authorized dealer. Took two years and a couple months.

Seems reasonable private sale is splitting the difference between MSRP and gray dealer pricing.

That's kind of ballsy...That watch is selling on the secondary market for around a 100% premium. Do you have any watches or cars that are hard to get and trading for a significant premium that you'll sell me for an immediate, significant discount?

You mean from the flippers who hoard the watches and sell them at chronos and Ebay.

It’s called capitalism/free enterprise or anything else you want to call it that describes a free market system. We are not talking about toilet paper, bread, water or other essentials; it is a luxury watch, and if a dealers want to buy them up and speculate then more power to them. I’m sure they’ve been burned a time or two.

I have no problem with capitalism, but that is why I said in my post no dealers. I am not going into discussion about whether the watch worth $12k is now being sold for $26k is worth it. I have enough watch in me that I am confident to wait. I dont even wear them.
Its just like anything mass produced luxury item.
If people want to make money out of it, be my guess. As an investment, it depends on what watch.

You can certainly get one at list, provided you're willing to wait years and spend a fair amount in the interim. That worked for me. But even the Rolex dealer acknowledged the value increases the moment it leaves the store and is available in the wild. Bizarre, but that's how it works.

I can wait till hell freezes over. If this is my first rolex, I may be so eager, but I am just adding this. My AD said 1 year. Sure.

I don't disagree with you. It's irritating for those of us that want to purchase and enjoy with no intention of flipping. It's all supply and demand. My AD said that Rolex production was down 25% last year due to Covid. That just makes the premiums higher on the in-demand (new versions and older versions) SS models.

I hope you get the call soon!

    Cheers

Comical thread. Good luck finding a new model SS Daytona at MSRP. A new model Daytona is going for about twice MSRP. The folks getting them at MSRP have been waiting for 2+ years and have probably purchased many other watches from the AD. Take a look at Chrono24.

I've bought 4 rolexes from my dealer in the period of 3 years. 1 being a daytona 18k and a sub. I've waited 2+ year to get a daytona SS (panda..if i'm lucky) ....there is no list to be put on a list. LOL
I've even tried to bribe her.....:D

If you want it to enjoy it then buy grey, and it won't matter what you paid for it. If you are waiting around to get one at msrp or "slightly marked up" then in my opinion you don't really want it because it won't happen.

I always buy grey and I never regret it. What's the point in spending 150k in store to get called in 1 year 2 years or never when 150k gets you the complete line of every SS model you want right now.

Took me a while to get that one. SS SD with the blue dial is a beautiful piece. Also going for 2x MSRP.

Oh man, you had to buy 6 watches in order to get a daytona from the AD?!

Actually, the 6 watches is hard enough to get. I never asked for a daytona at first.
But after getting my pepsi, its time to ask for the daytona.
Im waiting now for my DayDate.

Go to a big AD. I changed from a small AD to a bigger AD.
Every watch I bought I wanted, the daytona was the prize!
They want to be sure you are not a flipper.

Sadly, I'm not wealthy enough to buy watches I don't particularly want in order to get the one I do. So I wait.
