Would an Audi RS3 hatch be going backwards compared to a V6 Macan ?

No idea. I’ve not driven the Macan. I CAN tell you the RS3 is terrific as a daily with reasonable boot capacity.

A retired McQ merchant banker up the road had 911s for years , now drives a RS3 hatch and told me bang for bucks he would never buy another 911, instead preferring to update his Audi RS3 every 3rd year .

Gone of the Jaguar , to dear for what it is i.e build quality ,fuel costs , tyre cost wear.

So back to the Macan upgrade to a GTS or maybe the RS3 ,and get around the boot space by using the old T Series for that of caring wheels and tyres around to be stripped ect.

I drove the current Merc A45S today and was deeply impressed.
Very fast, Q car appearance without the aero pack, sensational interior and sounded good with a nice crackle on the over run.
I thought it drove more like a junior supercar than a hot hatch.
Admittedly, I didn’t take note of the ride. I could barely keep up with changing gears with way the engine picked up pace in the upper rev range.

I've had two x A45s great little cars, but I'm replacing my everyday car ,they don't work for me and my needs everyday , not enough room sadly .
is the sound from the exhaust or from noise downloaded and played through the car like the Euro spec ones?

Looks ok from the outside, but...

Jesus. That interior looks absolutely awful to me. So chintzy.

Is that really a “feature” clock?

And those vents. Is it trying to be a Zonda?

    Horrible.

IMO both Merc and BMW have lost the plot in the last couple of years.

Yes, the sound is fed through the cabin but in comfort mode, relatively quiet. But in track mode, sounded very racy.
I understand your concerns regarding rear seat room. I was comfortable in the back (I’m 6ft 1) but it certainly wasn’t roomy. But I was very taken by the premium feel of the interior.
My partner bought a manual Honda Civic Type R which was much roomier in the back but sadly, I think this very brilliant car isn’t your ‘scene’.

Seeing her drive the girls to school in this faintly ridiculous looking car always brings a smile to my face.
The more you drive this brilliant car, the more you love it.
I actually love the fact its totally over the top and cartoonish!

There are multiple options for the gauges - much like you can change the face on a smart watch. You no need for a clock. You can a rev counter and spec the gauges to your liking. I was just playing with the options.
I guess each to their own. I prefer the dash to that of a series 7 Golf R.

Steve, I certainly agree that BMW interiors have become boring - I get to drive new BMWs on a regular basis and find their interiors underwhelming, i3 excepted, which is sensational in my opinion.

You can make it as bling or as plain as you like.
