Removed the gray leather on all the interior components and went back with a factory dark red leather . . . seats should be ready by Tuesday! I'll post more pics once it's all complete Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Interesting choice. While I applaud the red, that is the later red that started coming in the 355. The 348s red was really red. Hope that was a purposeful decision! Either way it does look great, What was the car originally? Grey or red inside?
The original color was grey . . . and yes, I purposefully chose that color because my first Ferrari was a 308 GTSi with the exact same color combination. The true red does looks great on a white or black 348, but the grigio screams for the darker (IMO). Image Unavailable, Please Login
That does look really good, can't wait to see it with the seats. That 308 was a great looking ride as well.
No sir . . . I removed all the interior parts, bought a hide of leather specifically for Ferraris from an automotive upholstery shop, and had everything recovered.
What happened to the grey take off leather? Was it cut up to make the patterns for the new seats? My seat bottoms are torn, and could use a re-cover. It's easy enough to do a re-dye on a take off hide... sjd
glad someone is thinking around here...forest for the trees sometimes... if they were the gen1 flat bottomed seats, I will give them a call. sjd
Here you go everyone . . . I simply love it & now the interior has that certain Ferrari aura about it Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah, I'd love to see pics outside. Can't quite tell the color. I bet it looks great with the grey. As a comparison, here is mine with pics taken outside. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yours is what I like to call lipstick red and has more of a gloss finish to the leather where mine has more of a satin almost flat finish or sheen. Guess my next step is to get the matching carpet thanks for your post!
I wouldn't necessarily get the red carpets. Ferrari offered both. Example, here is a red interior with black carpets. Lower door panel carpets are black too. Both look great imho. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes sir it was the LBI car . . . They had it on consignment and the owner finally agreed to my terms for the 348
Looks a little darker in the out of doors! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The interior did wonders for this car's esthetics. I believe the carpet will stay black . . . the contrast works nicely Image Unavailable, Please Login
