In normal indoor or evening light it’s a little more muted bit still colorful. Also typical Rolex blue lum which is pretty strong.

I got the 41mm and it wears large and flat given the simple dial layout.

So it stands out in just about any light.

    Rolex didn’t make a superdome crystal for 1675 so a T19 won’t fit.

Back in the day Rolex offer a T38 which was the cyclops-delete crystal for the 1675 as a service part option.

Not sure if a T38 would fit your gilt rig. But maybe.

They are hard to find now days and not cheap but I prefer the look. There are a ton of cheap reproductions being pasted off as fakes.

I had Phillip Ridley confirm mine and do the install. Still have the original crystal I decide to revert back.

My first post in this thread, sorry for the quality....I'll work on it

You guys have awesome collections, my only "high end" watch is a 1994 Rolex Datejust that I paid $3k for in 2006. I hope someday to buy others.

So there has been alot of Seiko content lately, which reminded me that when my Dad passed away in 1996 I ended up with 3 Seikos that I had not bothered to look at since the funeral. Dug the box out two days ago, to my surprise, I shook one of them.....and it started running. Two of the 3 still run after not being touched for 24.5 years.

This one is a 4006-7000, which was purchased in '72-'73 in Tokyo when he returned from Vietnam. I wore this one yesterday when I took my 82 year old Mother to a Doctor's appointment. She recognized it straight away, and teared up a little.

You don't have to post high dollar watches here, just nice examples. (and don't ever post fake ones like guys have been doing lately because we'll all laugh at you behind your back)

Good for you wearing it for mom. Making your 82 year old mom smile gets you huge street cred here.

what a great, heartwarming story. Like with all true car guys, it ain't what it cost, but what it means to you and the back story! Let's see the others!!!

I need to work with the alarm function more. I can't move it around the dial but it does ping when you go past it when setting the time.

She hasn't ridden in the FGT yet (but wants to) but has ridden in the Diablo many times which sits even lower so it should be OK.

BTW, how are the islands doing? We lived on Hickam AFB for 7 years in the 70s. Developed a taste for Spam, which is still with me.
