Agree. I went up one size to make the sidewalk taller.
    More comfortable, still great handling.

You went one size up on 16 or 17? What size and which brand of tires?

I need to do some research on the various generations of ‘13+ and look at at least 10,000 pictures to determine if I want white or black. Therefore, probably too soon!

Had 17" wheels. Sold the car over a year ago.....so basically increased the width by 10mm and believe increased the aspect ratio by 5 or 10???
Don't recall now what the stock size is for 17s.

Anyways made a noticeable improvement in the ride dept.

Mine has the digital display. To be honest, and I know its easier to read, I don't think its as cool as the analog gauges. I like the crazy dial within a dial.

Sold it over the weekend for what I was asking for. Seeing it drive away I thought about how good it looked but how I was glad to move on.

    Hi All,
I just bought an Abarth, all in black and its a fun little daily driver car. I love the noise and its zippy! I wanted something to play with after my last car ... .which was completely different... so Abarth it is - 2017 with 60K miles. I'm confused on the best way to upgrade the computer for a little more power .... I have looked at Fiat Madness - like the stuff, but don't want to cut into the loom etc... and I don't wna to spend $5-10 K for 80 more hp... it does not seem like a good idea.

    so a couple of questions:

    1. can you tune up the engine using just the OBDII ports ? or do you have to go into the engine and access all the sensors?
    2. short of new / bigger turbo, etc. what is the most noticeable power/drivability upgrade you can do?

    Thanks!

There are dozens of groups and forums that can give you advice, but here's mine. ECU tune potential is increased by the other parts. They will never be "fast" or "quick" but getting passed by minivans is also a tad humiliating. Suspension will help put the power down, the big red torsion bar made a huge difference in applying power while changing lanes or canyon bombing. I was the demo car for Megan Racing lowering springs that made it a real weapon in the hills here.

    1. Diverter valve to hold/dump boost better
    2. Intake will help the turbo breathe and make turbo flutter noises :)
    3. Tork or EuroCompulsion tune via OBD II, Piggybacks are ok, the ones that are plug and play are ok, no cutting needed. I had the RRM, was ok, but the flash was so much better. ECU flashing can take 30-45 minutes each time, pack a lunch
    4. turbo blanket or risk melting the nose
    5. Intercooler is a volume thing, if you just want to pass like a nut, don't worry about it, but if you want to drive aggressive, get an intercooler.
    6. Alfa 4C coil packs made things smoother

    optional
    1. torsion bar
    2. chassis braces
    3. lowering springs/coil overs
    4. lighter wheels

i spent a lot on my car, here are some bits from hen i sold it I had on it:
    Corse Forza FMIC
    Alfa 4C coilpacks
Madness Maxflow Carbon CAI (JUNK elbow!)
Eurocompulsion EC+ Tuner + pops and bangs map
    Sila Concepts turbo blanket
    Megan Racing lowering springs
Madness big red rear torsion bar
    Madness subframe brace
    DNA Racing chassis braces
    GFB+ DV
    17" NeuF wheels

I have a 2016 Competizione, standard turbo, but with intercooler, dump valve , front decat and a 200 cell centre cat , remapped to 226 bhp and 285 ft lb of torque. Lowered etc. etc. but you get the idea. Quite a nippy wee thing :)

Well everyone I can't believe it but I am going to sell the Abarth. Carvana is going to pick it up on the 10th and I feel sad and stupid for doing it.

But I only drove it once this last year. It feel so silly to sell it to them when I went through all the trouble of storing it in the winter so it would never see snow or salt... and waxing it... ect.

Understand the sad and stupid as I just sold my 2013 in Feb and I just hated to do it. 4 car garage and this became the 5th car and hanging outside all day in Fl was not going to work. 38k miles, Driveway gave me $15,969 which was the highest of them all. The price was good but it still upsets me that I got rid of her. Never had a problem, just oil and tire changes. I really wish Fiat would have brought updated metal here to the States.

The only problem I had was coolant was leaking where the coolant bottle hose attached to the radiator. It was fixed under warranty. Now it is leaking from the bottle- the mechanic must have tightened it down too tight and cracked the bottle. It's been a great car but a chief complaint is that it isn't raw enough. It's not the cars fault, it just that cars today are just too good in every category.

    I hope I don't regret this!

Well I missed my 13 so much I just bought another one! 2018 500C 5-Speed with 5,183 miles, lady owned. Saw it advertised at an Alfa, Fiat, Ram dealer in PA. $19.7k and had it shipped to Sarasota 4 weeks ago. Have got the Abarth stripes on order. She’s a pisser! Image Unavailable, Please Login
