The old T Series has been rough on idle for a month or so. Yesterday i did the painful task of replacing the spark plugs , its always been my experience that the back spark plug on an engine that has the bad spark on a tired old engine ..which it was . Now all good and will get her through to her service in mid- February . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey, didn't you change the spark plugs in the 355 before I bought it ? And didn't that send Tim into a flat spin to get the car to him to do it properly ? Or so I'm led to believe

Actually, smart men pre-heat the engine before starting. Apart from dramatically extending the life of the engine, you only need one set of plugs.
We did that with the Lola-Buick T87/50, there was an electric prong that fitted in side the upper area of the oil tank from memory. Sound correct Ian? So long ago . Image Unavailable, Please Login
In my SR8 we use an oil preheater that they plumb in/disconnect before I go out, Radical base their engine warranty on hours run & the ECU records that, so you waste engine hours heating the engine oil before driving thereby reducing the warranty hours. The V8 it's recommended the oil must be up to temp before driving or as Ian says, one significantly reduces engine life & engine warranty in my case.
