Jeepers - got into a bit of a barney with a wonderful old mate of mine today - whom is not a car guy at all. He was telling me how some of his mates are buying whatever the new Tesla is and I was saying yeah, whatever, they are basically appliances no matter how fast they are in a straight line... He was quite offended and was trying to tell me that these guys are car "enthusiasts" I said (and maintain) that no proper car enthusiast would consider a Tesla an enthusiast's car... Good Lord. Have I turned into Simon?!
A friends S model was driven 10 metes out of a garage and a steering arm fell off , lucky it was not at speed ...rubbish.
They are just white goods ....... but they will be the future, one day the kids of the world won't even know what a license is .... or own a car ... they'll just call for a car on their phone and it will take them wherever they want to go and just debit their bank. Ferraris will only be in museums as rich boys toys and people will marvel at how stupid we were

I never wish to own one ,the joy for me is being able to tinker with my motors , as I did today. LOL whom tinkers with white goods?
For a tech head like me I find them incredible..... And the new ones can actually do track work now.... In other words, no longer just a one trick pony. The acceleration is mind numbing already and the plaid+ is significantly faster again. The performance and tech will blow your socks off. I love them and if they were a bit smaller, I'd have one in a heart beat (along with the 308)
