Does anybody know the Carbon brake pads to which Sam is referring in this video? My car is going to be due for new pads shortly. I thought I should at least consider these given the endorsement from both Sam and Aldous.

I was surprised that no link was given to the pads in the description.

    Thank you!
    Kevin

I asked Aldous about this after watching the video and he said it was a pad made just for him by a European company. Didn't say which company or anything specific about compounds. He quoted me 160GBP per axle.

Sounds like Pagid. They do pads for Mov'It to their proprietary specs.

Richard- What, you think all Pagid pads are the same? They have literally thousands of compounds for dozens of different types of cars. I have Pagids on my ceramic brakes and no squeal, no dust.

well on my previous Porsches with STEEL METAL disc brakes over the years I have tried most Pagid versions and they all squealed like hell, no doubt for CARBON CERAMIC discs its different as in your case.

However the video refers to STEEL METAL disc brakes ....

You might be as well to look up EBC brakes in the UK as they do about 5 grades of pads, made in the uk as well

Richard- I ran Pagid racing pads for several years that were on the 575M Fiorano Handling Package and those had been properly bedded and did not squeal, even though the FHP tech bulletin says they may squeal.

You have a tendency to make overarching statements that have little basis in fact. Pagid pads are on millions of cars with steel rotors and obviously not all of them squeal. The fact you had some that squealed does not mean they all do.

What, you think the moderators should get involved for telling you the obvious fact not all Pagid brake pads squeal?
