Many cars are importable from Canada with only minor modification, if any at all.
I have imported two Canadian market BMWs into the USA myself. There are also "DOT registered importers" that specialize in federalizing cars for the USA market. Not easy or cheap, but can be done.

Looks magnificent, love the interior. In Australia that car would be more than double the price. Buy it.

Importers of motor vehicles must file form HS-7 at the time of vehicle is imported to declare whether the vehicle complies with DOT requirements. As a general rule, motor vehicles less than 25 years old must comply with all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) in order to be imported permanently into the United States. Vehicles manufactured after September 1, 1978, must also meet the bumper standard, and vehicles beginning with model year 1987 must meet the theft-prevention standard. For more information, please contact the DOT import hotline at (202) 366-5291.

I believe a poster on here sold this car a few months back. I know there were some electrical gremlins with the car when it was sold new and had a rebranded title or similar attached to it after the fact. Last i remember he was asking $144K for it with room to negotiate. He was very transparent about this when he was selling. My guess is the current seller is trying make a quick buck by selling it to someone not familiar with its history.

Agreed. I am just countering the claim someone said it was represented as having a clear title...that is not the case.
