Another great cutaway drawing by Tony Matthews, this time of pontoon fender bodied 1958 250 Testa Rossa #0718TR when owned by Brandon Wang, and used for the extremely expensive Chris Nixon book Rivals about the Aston Martin DBR1 and the 250 Testa Rossa 1957 - 1959. Some claim the actual remains are in the USA with a mega collector. But what would have been left after the fatal accident, bulldozing into a ravine and decades later disinterrment?

That was a REPLICA, not a genuine 250 TR59 Spider Fantuzzi, driven by Silvano Sarti in the Raid Ferrari D'Epoca meeting held in Modena 26/27 September 1981 on race #84. It used chassis number "2059 GT" at the time and was on Italian dealer license plates from Bologna "Prova BO 987". #2059 GT was originally a 250 GT S2 Cabriolet which was sadly used as a donor car for this replica built in Italy 1979. I was at that Ferrari meeting in person. Marcel Massini
Car went to the Netherlands later and was seen at several "Italia à Zandvoort" and Ferrari Club Netherlands events up to 2003.
I inspected this replica on the 13th February 2009 and again on the 9th June 2009 at Kroymans. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login
