Rob, I saw you where you saw me - cnr Burke and Waverley. I turned left onto Burke rd heading N, you were stopped at the lights heading S. ah ok. Well, like I said, PM if you do. All good, thanks. Say hi to Amanda for me.
That was me , off to do some BTC stuff.. Amanda often has asked after you . Not for sale unless the other comes up ,so rare now the early dash cars most have been parted out .. Even new the T1s with the early dash were rare 1/100 cars I'm told were Bentley .
Roman: I have written today to the Gentleman that owns the other 1968 T Series 3 speed ,asking if he ever wish's to sell ,to let me have 1st opportunity ,if successful , be happy to give you the opportunity of the purchase of my '68 T Series ,its not an expensive car ,but a wonderful place to be . In 4 years of ownership , I've done just over 8,000 trouble free miles. Apart from early on oil burn . I'll do 2,000ks approx on the Tassie drive. You would not touch the leather ,history tells me once there been re-painted they harden up and crack , unless there is a new technique as per what Bill does ,I would not risk it . Over heating . On Saturday afternoon ,I drove from my sisters home ( one with the tower in Brighton) up North road,Hawthorn rd and Glenferrie and home ..no issues got to 3/4 and came back to middle..once the thermostat kicked in. I'd say its been fixed since i put the new thermostat in, flushed the system .I've been not wishing to get caught in traffic ,so have not tried it out so much in the last 2 years. The car does not use any water at all and the colour is a full green no mayonese stuffy. Reading up on all the comments from those whom know # I'd fit a latter radiator cowling and re core if concerned ,but I'm happy as she is ., thanks for your concern .
Its called feeding . Do you feed your leather in the 308GTB? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oakwood is the best stuff I've managed to find. I used EVERYTHING on my cars and this is the best.....in my humble opinion.
I should add up the service and repair bill mileages , she shows 142,000 miles , I suspect its correct as once these cars got to around 15 years old they were with owners who used 'em club and social outings. The grunge of the bonnet .. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think this is the stuff I used on my leather couches here at home. Is this the brand Woolworths sells? Works well from memory! I need to get some more to feed these couches again.
I did it last month. Leather was already very good so didn't make much difference. Was nice and soft and supple and now it still is. ... But cleaner, I suppose.
My understanding is , Bill strips off all the old colour , feeds the leather then colours ? Where the cowboys just paint over the old colour/dye.
