For those that have received the Roma, first of all congrats! Second, now that you actually have it, what are the things that you found better than expected? And vice versa anything you feel didn’t live up to your expectation (I don’t believe there will be much lol).

The most impressive for me is, besides beauty and elegance of the car, the much improved gearbox with extremely fast but at the same time somehow smooth shifts combined with higher torque at lower rev's. Secondly the matrix light and auto-high beam in combination with FCAM gives you a relaxed and save ride at night out of urban areas. All over the car appears very solid build without any rattling or sqeaking while driving, which is not always common with the other Ferrari models. Car fits immediately like your favourite jeans!

Mine has been at the dealer for electrical/software issues for nearly two weeks. I was able to drive it home from dealership, but it got trailered back and have not seen it since. THey're telling me it's up to Ferrari to figure out what problem is and resolution.

That’s unfortunate. I’m hoping that with the Roma and the new HMI the electrical glitches will be minimal.

Yep. I’m seeing more software glitches as well. Main display is pretty much frozen. No tach in display. Can’t call up any sub menus. Looks like part of the display software threw a panic. Clock seems to be updating so all is not lost!

Getting more certain we still have beta software...

    Surely not normal!

I have an appointment with the dealer next Wednesday. I was considering moving the car’s date back a couple weeks to see if my nav error was related to a date timeout. But couldn’t get there when the main display froze up. Just thinking the beta software had a limit set to it. It also could be the nav system and display system problems are related...

So I looked in the manual to see about resetting the car by disconnecting the battery. Verbiage in the manual is MUCH more restrictive about battery issues than in my 458. In fact the battery doesn’t even show up in the table of contents! Ferrari seems to be getting MUCH more restrictive about what you can do as a customer! Not a good sign.

Rather than pull the battery terminal I may just pull the main fuse and reset it that way. See if I can get functionality back that way.

I’m pretty sure all of this is just software bugs. What is bad is, is Ferrari up to correcting the bugs in a timely fashion? Almost certainly the Roma shares the same hardware and software base so one affects the other. This will be foundational for Ferrari going forward. Hope they can do it!

the sound is MUCH better than expected and I am coming from the naturally aspirated V8. I also think it is much sportier than expected. Very agile and drives very small. Also it is quite comfortable and the technology (once you have figured it out and learn to live with its quirkiness) is great. My biggest complaint is how light the steering is but i think that is a flaw with most current gen Ferraris.

    Great feedback, thanks!
Do you have Apple Car Play by any chance? If so, does it work okay?

I got Apple CarPlay. It takes up almost all the digital dash space. And only works when hard-wired with plug into USB port, ie not wireless. I am embarrassed that I paid $4300 for the option

Mine's had a hard reset twice. Now waiting for direction from the factory. I think that means the dealer service has no idea what issue is. Hoping Ferrari has their software development team on it.

Sounds like early Roma customers are providing Ferrari free beta testing. Mine is due this summer, sure hope you guys help them get the bugs out. I'm sure its very frustrating for you!

electrical - Doors and trunk not closing
Multiple warnings like Engine Management Fault - Go To Dealer
Dealer said it's drawing power from battery even when it's turned off and locked.
So far it seems they have no idea what problem is, and are waiting for direction from factory. It's been at dealer for 2 weeks with these issues.

I am getting concerned with the number of Roma owners complaining of electrical issues. I am expecting a call from my dealer this month requesting me to increase my deposit. Not sure I want to buy a car with issues. Hopefully they will be sorted out soon but I would like some assurances before increasing the deposit. I'm expecting a summer delivery. Perhaps we can do a survey to see the magnitude of the problem. How many received their Roma and how many are having issues, etc. I'd set up the survey but can't see how to do it. Thanks.

Fortunately, I haven’t experienced any electrical issues or software concerns yet. I use it daily, but when I know I might not, I do plug the tender in just in case there is a large battery draw which might make things screwy.......

Ok. Not seeing any of those issues. But if the car is showing high drain it may be a relay is stuck. A careful look would be in order. Also, the higher use of cpus in the design suggest a likely software issue. So far my car has the nav system shutdown. Drives like a dream otherwise!

So far my issues look like software issues. Nothing looks like a hard fault at all.
Just dropped my car to my detailer/ppf installer and he was stunned by how great it looked. It is a beaut of a car! Software issues are just an update away from closure. It will get there!

Shoot, I’ve considered ordering another to configure and turn into a top less version!

You won’t be disappointed with the final car!!
