Hi John, that’s interesting re exchange. I think instructor course makes sense. In terms of ab initio I know of examples where someone was rejected by one Air Force and then applied to another with success. An example being Sir Angus Houston, who was rejected by the RAF (pilots course) for being too tall, but was subsequently accepted by the RAAF - and didn’t that work out ok.

Never heard of him Wing commander Searle was my favourite ... absolutely the most decent man in the RAAF in charge of 1SQN Funny thing about my mate's son is he is SO good looking I'd turn for him ..... but his dad should get a DNA test
