    Showed up in my youtube feed. Its in French, but who cares. Best quali time was a bit over 1:22, no chicanes, but Hamilton's pole last year with chicanes was 1:18+. So my guess, these cars are 10 seconds a lap slower. Not so bad.

    I remember getting tiny plastic models of those cars in my cereal as a kid :) You can see how this racing captured a young kids imagination!

    Ah, the gold old days!

    I race Monza on my Sim - using asseto corsa - and have the 1971 cars... its fun, and HARD! I usually drive the Matra - they are fast but when they are full of fuel its slows them way down.

    We could have this kind of racing again--just ban almost all the aero and get rid of the chicanes.
