F355 Market

Does anyone follow Classic.com for evaluations? A for sale thread was muddied up with a value discussion and a new comer to the forums (Dec 9, 2020) references that site.

Funny thing is, none of my cars appear on there, LOL. Eyeman has one of the high water marks as well and not listed on there either.

I give that site zero weight for real value, maybe I am wrong? But I fully support a 6 Fig market and feel that the tide is rising and will not subside. Will always be junk, salvage or fire sales, but one has to act to get cars now. Big money cars may sit for a bit, but the cream always rises. You get some delicious bites just below the cream too [emoji6]

Yeah I dug up the old thread and remember the reasoning now...don't agree with it personally but it is what it is. Would be nice to have him back on here he's a great resource for the community.

 

Not to get off topic, but agree. Quite frankly the entire thing is ********... particularly when you consider some of the members who’ve gotten away with or done far worse.

 

For some reason I thought they had sold it for under 100, and got it back. Not sure but maybe the latest owner is just flipping it through the dealer he got it from?

On a side note, I had my buddy bid $3500 for me on a non airbag steering wheel and we lost. Auction just ended hours ago.

He said there were 2 other bidders who would’ve bid it up to $4k (or more) if we kept going. There was also an international bidder bidding through a service site. Which one of you is it ?

Just a data point if one is looking at a non airbag car.

 

Wow! Could have bought the entire set up about 3 years ago for just over $1000, well it was 2017, so 4 now. $4k for a wheel. Dang!

I had a feeling it was you bidding it up!

 

So carbon seats and pre-airbag steering wheel are nearly $20k outside of a car. Safe to say they're worth $30k in a car originally spec'd with them.

95 GTB with pre-airbag and carbon seats is the holy grail F355.

Without these options, they're already north of $110-120k with reasonable mileage. With the options and low miles I would imagine $150k+
