So my Pista is gone (thanks to Mike Berman) and the 765lt arrived yesterday. Here are some quick photos on arrival and during detailing and one photo of it tucked in for the night at my house. I’ll give a full review and comparison after I get some seat time. My only drive was from the dealership to my house once it was dark. Only words so far are Holy cow this thing is fast!!! What a car! McLaren has it going on for sure....it will absolutely walk away from a Pista.

That is true. There is just something about a Ferrari that can’t be reproduced. I worry that with the shift to electronic displays does some of that mystique go away. For me that huge tach in the middle is the best!

I will probably track it a few times at Sebring but mainly will be around the town. I just have to practice getting in and out with those seats. It’s raining all weekend so it will be the perfect time to practice. :p

Right hand on the T when door open; left hand on interior door handle; right leg step into car as you sit straight down into seat; pulling door down to balance as you sit down. It gets to be a seamless motion pretty quickly.

Congrats! That is a beast of a machine. Fellow Tampa guy here. Have a handful of car guys in town that get together for drives if ever interested. Would love to see that in person.

I never had problems with my 720s but the Senna seats create an additional hurdle.

Big congrats! It is amazing how much the McLaren is reminiscent of the Lamborghini STO, especially the rear. It looks like someone whittled away all the edges off the STO. (I actually prefer the McL rear btw).

I love your interior and choice of paint. Drive and enjoy in good health!

Warmest congrats and best wishes. I'll wager that after you have driven it a bit, you will be at a loss to describe the sheer thrust of the car. Besides being supremely nimble, the abiding memory I have of each of my 4 McLarens was blinding acceleration on boost. Stupendous engineering, stupendously fast. So fast, in fact, that its almost frustrating unless you live in the rural desert like I do...or near a racetrack.

You will love it. I've been to Woking twice as McLaren's guest and I am so impressed with the people, the product and the contribution they've made to both F1 and road cars (even if they ARE different entities.)

Quick story: when I was first introduced to McLaren it was the 12c. I have always owned fast cars, but riding as a passenger in the 12c was the first time I had actually felt vertigo on acceleration. You have to be a passenger to really grasp just how hard these cars pull. My last McLaren was a 675LT. It was so quick it was stupid. All I can say is hang on and make sure that thing is pointed straight when you hit the loud pedal. :)

    Well done!

The STO only has 2 tail pipes. The Mclaren has 4 which is twice as good.
