This excellent exhaust roundup was just uploaded by NormalGuySupercar:

Definitely worth a watch if you’re shopping for a 458 exhaust setup.

Headers are stock. It has catless bypass (test) pipes.

    Sure thing.

Here's a short video of me leaving a meet at ~30% throttle and short-shifting at approximately 6000RPM. This is a sound that onlookers both hear and feel.

S-Line seems to be lesser known on these forums; here's some background.

Back in 2008, F-Chat user MrTheKid picked up a Grigio Medio 430 Scuderia and was known for not being shy about putting heavy miles on the car and modifying it in at-the-time unconventional ways. One of his mods was a novel high-pitched F1-sounding exhaust by a small shop called TT Competizione. It turned out that the unique sound was the result of a brand new X-pipe design, a first for the car.

A couple of years later, F-Chat user @freshmeat committed to achieving a similar F1 sound for his Scuderia. Initially, he tried working with TT-C to develop an exhaust based on MrTheKid's setup, but the project never happened. He eventually crossed paths with the second owner of MTK's Scud and arranged to have the TT-C exhaust brought to a shop in Colorado called S-Line Motorsports to execute freshmeat's project. The result was the ScudXX X-Pipe, and then the S-Line Motorsports XXX-Pipe, which was finally made available for group buy here on F-Chat in 2013 (managed by the MTK car's second owner, F-Chat user "dbonvillian").

Read more about the story of that first S-Line X-pipe here:

    https://blog.dupontregistry.com/ferrari/the-perfect-ferrari-f1-sound/

From there, F-Chat user @RonnieRenaldi worked with S-Line to develop the XXX-Pipe for the F430 Berlinetta/Spider. S-Line then released the 458 Italia exhaust pictured in my first post. My example was one of the first 458 exhausts produced by S-Line.

When I sold my car, I made the specific point to keep the S-Line exhaust because, after watching the whole thing unfold in realtime as a lurker, I was concerned whether or not I'd be able to source another one should I find myself back in a 458.

Despite the fact that many of the big brand manufacturers have finally started catching up, to me, the S-Line is still the most extreme, high-pitched F1-sound you can get for the 458. It's also built wonderfully by the good people in Colorado. Kudos to F-Chatters freshmeat, dbonvillian, and RonnieRenaldi for expending so much effort helping to bring these products to market. S-Line exhausts were born here on Ferrarichat.

My S-Line exhaust is officially sold and off to the next owner.
