Aussie Ferrari Spotters Thread??

I had air flow out the centre vents and the footwell and the screen, and it varied with the position of the rotary switch. The a/c always worked very well. Surely it didn't have the a/c in when it was raced....i know SD's didn't. Unless they left the evap in the car. *shrug*

 

Makes more sense....I blame Moretti.

 

I rarely used the A/C and I sure as hell didn't put the blanking plates in ..... the rest could easily happen over time but it all works fine again so who cares

 

Don’t. The car had a couple of VERY minor issues causing him MAJOR problems with drivability. To be honest the wiring in the engine bay could do with some ‘attention’ but it would be a major job, and while everything is now working correctly, I’d leave it.

Thanks mate, the car is revving all the way to the redline and idles smoothly again but I'm going to order another TPS from MOTEC and swap it out if the idle plays up again

On the way to Pat's today the A/C was working brilliantly, just as good as the Lexus , which says a lot

 

Funny how the car drove well when I had it. Hmmm...what changed?

Where's the dyno sheet?

 

Nothing changed mate. It was just wear and tear. Plug connectors. It happens on these because the wiring harness has to be messed with constantly because of the engine out requirement.

OK...stupid how long that took to get fixed. I kept trying to tell Moretti "That's impossible" when he'd tell me what some MoTec "experts" told him. Like everyone else on here, he seemed to be under the misapprehension that I didn't know what I was talking about.

 

I could say something but I only have so many years left to argue and I'll be farked if I'll argue over a car

 

It was intermittent and I just got lucky.

I drive it more than you ever did so naturally things will wear out although the TPS seems to be a weak link in the MOTEC chain and strange that 2 lots of MOTEC "experts" couldn't find the loose pins Gezim found in the loom, but they knew how to charge for their "expertise"

 

It was chalk and cheese when you pulled the connector off the TPS, so obvious in hindsight

 

Well, considering there is no AFM or MAP sensor, the TPS has to be critical to fuel/air ratio metering. So yes, reasonably logical to look there first.

I'd replaced a couple too.
