While the pre Group C 1973 cars were Production cars running on radials ,the well funded teams Ford,Goss,Holden team,Jane and the Chrysler team did blue print engines ,gearboxes .

They had a variety from 1970 the Fords various diff ratios and gearbox's both close and wide ratio .

The Torana's of Firth,Jane and Hodgson team were special in the motors were blue printed.

The Chargers I don't know enough to comment .
