I was wondering if Lamborghini would come out with a V6 Hybrid as well? Anybody know?

Yeah...that’s what I meant. I boogered it up. My point was that I completely fail to see the utility of this car. It further validates my intention of gathering up as many of the last/best fully ICE cars as possible.

That may be the case but since all manufactures are going hybrid, this is the new entry level Mclaren, the 570 (former sport series) replacement.

Im with you though- ICE cars will be special.

As with most of these cars - one needs to see them F2F. Mac have done a stunning job with a bunch of new exciting technologies. The Artura LT will be the one to aim for :)

I appreciate the fact that you posted this, particularly with the cars you own/owned. I don’t know if people fully appreciate the cars McLaren builds these days when they’re wearing brand blinders and it’s a shame. Ferrari is making a financial choice to keep the underpinnings they’re using and Mac is looking at the future with what I usually refer to as alien tech. I’m a fan of Ferrari and I own a number of them, but the Mclaren cars are incredible and shouldn’t be slagged bc they don’t wear a prancing horse. As enthusiasts we should encourage the development and the competition as we all win for it.

Oh it’s not for me either. But I like the fact they are going with 5 year warranty. That’s a huge step to overcome the perception that Mclaren’s break down all the time.

    Thank you!
Im a fan of sports cars and not a homer or shill for any one brand. Own a Pista. Have a 720 which I’m trading for a 765 spider next year. Have a GT3 that I’m speccing as soon as it’s open in the us.

I want all the brands to do well to put out great cars cause we win in the end. At this point in time, there aren’t any regular production Ferraris that have caught my eye. It’s a shame. I want to own more in the future. I hope they make compelling enough cars for me to want one.

Ok- if Condor cannot help. PM me and I’m happy to make a connection. It’s tough getting an allocation cause they wanna sell to locals so best bet is to work with Condor but let me know if I can assist.

Artura reminds me of every single Mclaren they've done in the last few years...except now it has a turbo V6.

just seen the new GT3 nurburgring vid..damn that thing is so, so impressive.

McLaren is clearly following Porsche's strategy of evolutionary design changes rather than clean sheet with new models especially the Artura. What I am interested to find out is, is this what the McLaren buyers want? Porsche buyers clearly want the slow and steady evolution and quality a 911 comes with. Is this true for McLaren? Also every 911 is immensely popular so that is a good starting point for an evolutionary range but how popular has the 5xx series been for McLaren? Is it a good enough start for what is meant to be a completely new model?

I gotta say I’m a fan of the car. Maybe pick one up used to replace my TTS after a couple years. I’d want to drive it first.

I think Mclaren did a good job here for 4 reasons:

    1. The evolutionary stying helps to protect the value of the older cars
    2. The 5 year warranty is huge. Shows they believe they’ve made QC improvements.
    3. The price point is excellent.
    4. they’ve showed restraint and not gone Mclaren of 3 years ago, given the car 800 hp and let it blow up for 5% of the first 500 owners.

As an NSX owner I agree. But it costs an extra 100k plus for an extra 100hp CF tube and butterfly doors. If you want TT V6 hyvbrid would stick with an NSX if that's what you are into for far less. Or better yet go buy an F12 or Performante.

Man all these cars are gonna be the same soon.
