    Hi guys,

We have a car in for paint and it is missing a tag on the B-pillar under the door striker. What tag is this? do you guys have a picture of it?

    It is a Ferrari 412i from 1987.

    Thanks for the help!

    Thanks!

Is this plate common with other models? the 400 or the 365 GT4 2+2?

My 84 400i looks like this..slightly different to the 412. Ignore the two stickers at the bottom as those are the US importation tags and the sticker at the top which is the California BAR sticker.

I looked around. Found a reproduction 308 plate from Australia for $100. Found a used BB plate on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-FERRARI-data-plate-Autovettura-/200990563282
Found this reproduction 400i plate for $30 on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/FERRARI-365-400-i-CHASSIS-REGISTRATION-BODY-STYLE-COMPLIANCE-PLATE-114-x-69-mm-/353260078133

Auto looked in the parts directories of Eurospares and others, but could not find anything. You might actually try reaching out to Claudio at Eurospares and see if he has any 412s they are breaking. Easy to drill out the rivets and remove the plate.

BTW, here is a better pic of the 412 plate. Looking at the top right, there is a number 129806. That is a part number format, so it makes me wonder if that is the Ferrari part number for that plate. Might be worth checking some of the parts houses with that number to see. None of my searches came up with anything.

    Great picture.
I've contacted those guys to see it they have a copy of the plate available.

Anyway, if they can't help me, I can try to make the copy myself. Can you put a ruler next to the plate and take a new picture? This way I can make a scale out of the drawing...

    Thanks!

That wasn't my car, just a pic from the door jamb of a 412 I found.

I'd try that possible part number first.
