100 more hp and 500 pounds less. I think it’s worth it as a former NSX owner.

    More than you'd think.

Acura came out what 5 years ago?

Was just hoping for something refreshing. Ie V12 with hybrid assist. I dunno. If this is the way things are going gotta see NA cars rising even more

The Aventador is rumored to be V12 with HA, best of all worlds.
If I were McL I would focus on even lighter weight, sexy designs, and a noisy engine not necessarily the best performer. We have enough fast duds already from McL and Ferrari and Porsche.

Mclaren is known for their V12's huh? I'm hoping that later on today someone drops off a couple gold bars on my porch. Not that I have any precedent or reason to think this, but it would be refreshing....

    I kid.

So you want the entry level Mclaren to come out with a V12 hybrid assist. Like the La Ferrari. hmmm...duly noted.

Literally cannot fathom what that will look like. 8s in quarter mile??

Or why not high revving V8 with electric assist? Like a Speciale with motors. I guess emissions is that tough..

I dont think you are understanding this car. Its the 570 replacement. The 570 is below the 720. Once the 720 replacement comes out in a few years, it will likely be a V8 hybrid similar to the SF90. With that car and likely the Senna replacement they will go for broke. The Arturo is the first version of the hybridization platform that Mclaren and Ferrari and all others are going to release.

Its entry level. 680 HP. Hybrid. 5 year warranty. Relatively light. Lots of good stuff here. The looks I agree are subjective and if someone doesnt like them, I can dig that- but dont be disappointed that its not a V12 hybrid. That would be a 750k car if not more. This is a base price of 225k.

765 is doing low 9s so likely the 720 replacement will be in the 8s for 1/4 mile.

You see the lightly tuned 765LT?
    0-60 in 1.85 seconds and 1/4 mile in 8's.
Yes, prepped track etc not streets.

I wish you were quoting 'ring times. :( THAT'S what I would like to know! People seem to think these cars were built for the drag strip. Just a party trick. Compare TRACK times! :)

Disagree. Much more interesting even with countless variables.
'No one' being manufacturers? Maybe right. Others are scared of being exposed. Too risky. Not worth it.

I doubt the original 458 designers anticipated ever needing to accommodate a turbo engine. The 488/F8 design is an adaptation rather than a clean sheet like the Artura and is therefore compromised. Same goes for the 812 GTS where the buttresses look like an afterthought (because they are).

What is the ring time of the F8? Or the SF90? Or heck- La Ferrari?

it seems that ferrari has sold every car of those models they built with no ring times. VW group cares about ring times. No one else does.
