Are we all still holding out hope that the typical GTS QV will consistently pull 6 figures as well?

That shipped sailed in 2016. Unfortunately.

Not sure about that. The UK market has been flatlining for at least 12 months now, if not longer. Those willing to chance their arm selling on the most popular online auction site are moving, but the selling prices aren't $100k :

    https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1983-ferrari-308-gtsi-qv

Vetroresina in need of TLC went for $80K last summer ...

This rare QVB has been on the market over 12 months : https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/9984879?cId=10703535&cId=7870882&cId=10682266&cId=9931068&cId=9281736&cId=11088097&cId=10875147&cId=11148096&cId=10540233&cId=9984879&cId=11120376&cId=11120189&cId=10700845&cId=11201681&cId=10953125&cId=10991967&cId=10103180&cId=10791176&cId=10938988&cId=10903228

and they increased the price by $7K late last year .. !!

Cars in the UK somehow always seem to be cheaper compared to the continent (or at least that's my impression).

Yep, I think you're right. but they're still not selling. Primarily because a manual 360 Modena can be had for the same price ...

Any clue how the market responds to "Restomods" like mine?
Paul Newman built 85' GTS QV 3.4L (360 crank) with a Haltech injection system.
    All else original / restored.

Just wondering how a restoration / Restomod with probably $100-125K spent on it (not including the price of the orig. donor car) would do in this market.

I'd say it's pretty much right on the money (on the basis of the other cars currently on the market) and the colour, which I suspect won't appeal to many.

    Hopefully NOT.

It just makes ownership more expensive. As far as I’m concerned if you are buying classic cars for investment you are in it for the wrong reason and it really winds me up. It just makes the hobby more expensive for those of us truly interested in the cars for what they are.

Back when I was starting a DB4 GT was a realistic prospect at £90k. No longer.

    Why?

I do like the originality - I just realized that I have the Michelin stems on all 4 corners and my spare.
