That belonged to a guy who lived up the street from me. I believe his son owned it and kept the car in DC. Competizione did a ton of engine work on the car prior to sale.

It was then sold by a local Indipendant broker a few years ago.

Wow. What are the chances of that? Owners of 2 white F355's on the same street. You can't even find 2 F355's on the same street.

According to Robbie’s 355 registry, there *were* 6 white GTBs and GTS 355s in the world.

I personally know 2 of those listed in the registry have been salvaged (one listed above in this thread. The other was in the north east and was a total loss.

The Japanese car in the registry was a repaint, and was not originally white.

Another Fchat member owns the white on tan 97 GTB. That car was originally owned by Mary l. Retton, the former US gymnast

I’m sure there may be others out there in white, but this is what I’ve been able to discover over the last 10 years or so...

That particular white 355 does not belong to the son of your friend, unless his son is named Chris who lives here in the Bay Area and sold it last year to an Orange County owner.

I believe he’s referring to the one that is now crashed (tan interior). There are 2 links.

The crashed one is not Chris's car. That one is safe. Not too many white ones ...

*Slightly off topic. Finding the perfect shade of white isn’t easy. When I look at Bianco Avus on modern Ferraris (F430 and up) it looks nearly perfect to me. Just the right amount of cream without looking too creamy. On the 355, it looks a little less refined. Like something is missing. I bet the actual paint code has changed although still shares the same name. Whites have been perfected by Ferrari over time.

The only factory painted Carrara White Scud (right) just recently sold. F430 Spider (left) is Bianco Avus. Carrara white CS was painted by the owner. Bianco Avus looks much better to me.

My friend had a white scud too that he ordered new. Sold it really cheap as well but I couldn't swing it at the time. It ended up getting shipped out to HK I believe.

Carrara White CS is now in Norcal.

When a car moves around the country and ends up in CA, it ain’t leavin’. The Ferrari game here is too strong.
