Who can tell me what we’re the cars with these numbers in this race:

    48, 1964 Porsche 904
    42, Year?, Model?
74, Year? Lister Knobby? but the front looks different.

    Thanks

I’m almost certain 74 is a Maserati Birdcage tipo 61. I think 42 is a Ferrari, although not sure what type, maybe 196SP.

Jack, thank you for the huge assistance in identifying the cars. After a 30 year hiatus, I’ve begun to draw again and decided to make a pen and ink of this scene. It will challenge my amateur skills and needed to find more reference photos of the cars.

A great deal of work yet to do.

That photo appears in the current issue of Octane, by the way.

Agree 74 looks to be a Birdcage; and I'm pretty sure 42 is a Ferrari 246SP/196SP 0790 built in 1961 which finished 4th in this race, the GP Campagnano, Vallelunga driven by Leandro Terra.

    I would say 74 is perhaps a Lister-Maserati, but certainly a Lister..
