I was late once and they started charging me - you have to pay it out completely or they keep a rolling unpaid portion that attracts interest. I rang up the guy in India and got it sorted. He also reversed the interest charge since I'm such a goody two-shoes. Haven't noticed any interest charges this year, but I'll keep an eye out.
