Available is this mint '66 Mustang Convertible with less than 100 miles since its nut & bolt restoration done by Chris Ingrassia (of Mustang Restoration Inc) in Chicago approximately 2.5 years ago.

Unfortunately the door-tag was removed during restoration, so the color is likely not the original color, but cannot confirm. I can say that fit and finish wise, the car is darn near perfect, likely better than it left the factory.

Believe it or not... The auto cars have been bringing as much as 4 speed cars and are much easier to sell.

I've probably built and sold 300 65-66 mustangs... I'd take an auto over a 4 speed any day of the week.

The cars aren't exceptionally fast and with a convertible... The auto suits it better. The auto is actually a great transmission to boot.

Also being a c code mustang the 4 speed vs auto thing is sorta moot. If it was a k code the 4 speed would be more desirable...

This convertible is exactly what I would build for myself. Perfect color (nice to not be the typical red) best interior color as well. Pony wheels pony interior... The only thing I would change is get rid of the hump buddy center console and put in a factory console. Even though the factory console is useless and that hump buddy is immensely more useful.

To anyone looking at this car. This car looks to be done very very well from the photos. Again I haven't personally seen it but the car looks like it was done to a high standard by quality people.

It does not look like a bucket of bolts and an aresol rehaul... That you typically find in the 30-40k range.

This car is money well saved

at first glance didn't even notice that center console.

As someone who knows mustang pretty well, the blue on the engine looks a little darker than what I typically see? However doing some googling that darker shade of blue comes up alot. Is/are there two shades of ford blue or which one is considered correct?

This shade of blue is correct for a 66.

65s with a 289 had black blocks with gold accents. (To get really picky the 260 was an odd shade of blue but thats a story for another day)

66 was the first year of blue for the mustang. It is this darker shade of blue.

That shade of blue was used on 66-68 mustangs. With a lighter shade of blue coming in on 1969 models.

So in short. Dark blue for early mustangs and light blue for later mustangs.

Nice looking car, the video from the shop was well done and a nice touch. My first car was a 66’ but not a convertible nor did it have A/C.

    GLWS.

Very nice example. You might want to tighten that lower radiator hose clamp it will eventually cause corrosion on the neck of the rad.

I used to surf "Swami's" regularly when I lived in San Diego. I still have a house in San Carlos by Lake Murray, that I haven't seen in 15+ years..... Maybe I need to come visit my house, and buy a wonderful Mustang convertible in the perfect color combination!

Congrats! Miami is a better location for this convertible, than rainy Oregon....
