Gorgeous Original '82 Injected Boxer now available I have loved my time with 512, but I have opportunities that require her sale. She has had an engine out service in December with extensive work performed including new engine mounts, thermostat, belts, hoses, and ceramic coating of headers (as well as extensive other work). I have over $80k in receipts from the past 5 years, and she is in as optimum a running condition as possible. I have a binder with extensive recent documentation, although early year documentation is lacking. Chassis #39527 is a federalized car (without the hideous 'bumperlettes') with original paint and interior. The black interior has a nice patina with a recent headliner. The paint is original with a few spot blemishes or touch ups. It underwent a $1500 paint correction with a 2 stage ceramic coating to render a near-mirror like finish. The original wheels were refinished and shod with new TRX's before being placed into storage. The car now rides on reproduction modern rims that fit current tires. It has undergone a recent alignment and rides very smoothly and competently on modern rubber. Mileage is at 27,800, but might increase slightly as I make sure she is run routinely. Original jack kit, manual with cover, tool kit with leather cover, and OEM Ferrari car cover are all included in sale as well as any original parts (wheels/tires, exhaust). Asking is $269,000 for a car that should need nothing besides annual oil/filter for the next 10 years. I have more exhaustive information on the car if interested. Thank you for your interest! The wheels are a Group4 Ferrari reproduction wheel that are powder coated in Prismatic's Satin Poly Gold (PMB-6487). I went with Firestone Firehawk Indy's for the semi-period type appearance and great reviews (Don't hate on me for not putting PS2's on an 80's car, lol.). The size is 235/45R-17, and the tires have handled very well and comfortably for me. The original rims, which were re-finished shortly before I bought the car, and new Michelin TRX's (less than 500 miles wear) were set aside in storage bags for future Concours use if desired. I think its a best of both worlds set-up, and it gets thumbs-up on the road every time she's out!
The car is in Tyler, TX, and I'd be happy to show her to anyone interested. Her stablemate is a 1:1 Red Spyker C8 for car enthusiasts Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don’t like black cars, but...DAYAM that looks good! Boxers happen to be my favorite and that is one black car I would love to have. I think “wicked” about sums it up.

Stunning car! I love the BB512’s and hope to call one my first classic Ferrari one day. Good luck with your sale, it looks to have been under extremely good stewardship!
Thank You! I really feel like the Boxer embodies some of the best Ferrari styling elements. I really believe it's an undervalued car at the moment, and it will only increase in value moving forward.
The Boxer is way undervalued....and a much better car than the Miura to drive and it was designed by Lenoardo Fioravanti who designed the 288GTO, Dino, Daytona, etc. Frank Stephenson, the Designer of the 430, many a McLaren, etc., called the Boxer one of the 3 greatest Ferrari designs of all time. Here's his Youtube Video:
I saw that car in Tyler a few weeks ago and almost had a wreck stretching my neck to see it! First 512 I had ever seen on the road in my life and those gold wheels are fantastic!
Such a beautiful car, by far my favorite Ferrari. the pic with this boxer and the Miura is a wonder. i still remember my first Boxer siting in real life, i was 19 and my best friend and i had taken our girlfriends to Cincinnati for a weekend at Kings Island. after dinner at a restaurant in walking distance on the walk back to the hotel, we came up on a small used car lot with exotics, a couple lotus's and 308's but the cream of the lot was a Boxer, I have been in love since.......
