If I had to guess and based on prices in my country (812 with decent spec is around 400k CHF) I expect the VS to be 550+ and the convertible 600+
However no one knows the real prices yet

My guess would be more like 599SA or even the Lamborghini Aventedor Spyder. 992 Targa, although a superb execution by Porsche, probably does not offer any weight savings, might as well go with the 812 GTS mechanism then.

You dont need to describe yourself like this. We understand you like to be right and have everybody wrong. This is ok. Whatever suit you in your so called proper male attitude. I dont need to be right and I dont think most people here care much as you. Go on... read every thread and tell people you are right. I dont really care

Properly arrogant attitude as established before with your non democratic sentences . If you are so selfish for a VS remember there is always one has an Icona and that will be really first and really last . Everybody need respect , I can’t have a VS , I don’t have even budget for that but I’m happy with my brand new 812SF and my MB GT Roadster R . For me as a normal wealthy man I hope my 812 SF will be the last Ferrari standard production coupe’ with 12 N/A engine and I will keep it . Can I hope that ?

So we think the aperta will have a targa top that needs to be removed manually and put in the trunk? That makes it very uninteresting. If true the big winner is 812 GTS no? (and the 812 VS coupe)

Less than 1000 units for coupe was told to me by dealer as well today.
    No word on aperta's.
Public unveiling should be April and VIP showing sooner.

I dont think its is uninteresting if it is a targa top but it will provide some room in the lineup as far as usability for the GTS I would think. On the SVJ /aventador/ SV roadster the top really eats into trunk space and owners I know rarely put the top on because it is manual.

Well this 'targa' top sounds like a much more handy arrangement than the 'hardtop' that F50 owners were saddled with! ;)

I actually think it makes it very interesting, but then I also find the 599SA very interesting :). The idea of an aggressive V12 front engined Ferrari that one can drive as a convertible without paying the weight penalty of the electric roof sounds fantastic to me. Of course there is always the SP1/2 but it is a different price level and I would never jump into my SP2 and go on a weekend trip.
It will also -if true- allow better design of the rear end of the VS. If Ferrari had to maintain the electric roof, it probably wouldn’t be able to create an outcome that is as visually appealing as the TDF’s. It would be very odd if the coupe had the aggressive looks of the TDF and the more exclusive Aperta looked closer to a GTS.

In reality what this does is let Ferrari use one design for both versions instead of a unique look for a convertible style like the GTS does.

I don't think my dealer can actually get me one. To many other people in line that want them.

I am very curious if this engine will appear in a new normal model someday (the 912 megafast?)

FWIW (its been mentioned previously) it is not solely about what's in your garage its about your support of the brand. If you immerse yourself in Ferrari, truly love the brand, participate in events, and, of course, buy a fair number of cars, you have a shot. At the end of the day, the dealers do have a say for at least a portion of the allocation. Ask yourself why they would allocate a car to you over someone else, if you have a compelling reason (that includes the above at a minimum), you have a shot.

True. Loyalty and long-time relationship. However without the cars all the other stuff is worth 0. Many tick all those boxes you mentioned and are left out...
