This has turned into the best thread on this forum.. :)
For us mere mortals, this is a stunning collection! Have a couple questions... Thoughts on an SA and F40? What are the specs and how did you come upon the Schumacher car? Bravo! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sold cars: 458, Cali 30, Cali T, Portofino, FF, 599, 16M, CS (3), Lusso 12, 458 Speciale, Scud (2), F12 TdF, 599 GTO, 812, 488, 488 spider, F8 Why do I have multiple cars? I think it is the same reason I have more than one share of a common stock. If I believe it is a great, collectible, rare car, why not have more than one? Plus you can even have different colors!

I was thinking of the two dealership owners who dwarf my collection: Austin/Mexico City and the former Vancouver owner.
Definitely. Like most convertibles aren’t usually at the track home. Have to have a few cars really fun to drive at each place. I don’t post non Ferraris in F chat usually. Some highlights might be in my profile. Half my cars are Ferraris.
We have a thread dedicated to them... feel free Mr Sherpaz, feel free. It's a pleasure to watch, believe me https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/lets-see-your-other-cars.348094/
Yeah, Ricardo Vega supposedly just owns the dealerships so he can have a big collection. He has invested a lot into the dealerships though and the Austin location is now much better than the old one which was really ramshackle. Probably he gets first call on each new model.
Congratulations to our members with amazing collections, well done! Love seeing these pics. The tiles are either the same or very similar to those in Enzo Ferrari’s office at Fiorano. Look it up on line. You can also see these featured in the now no longer operating but historic Ristorante Cavallino across from the old factory gate. As to the name, I would like to come back to what one of the great F Chat members, @Traveller once said when we were wondering about the TDF. If they call it “hamburger”, it will still be great. I would like mine medium rare with cheese and extra ketchup. Rosso e Giallo are the historic colors after all - and extra goo [emoji4] Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Buying a dealership is a terribly bad way to try to acquire rare Ferraris. My friend who owned Vancouver would lament how much worse he was treated after acquiring the dealership. The gentlemen has classic award winning Ferraris winning multiple concours events. The value of his collection is tenfold mine. Instead of being a valuable client you become a franchisee. It significantly changes the relationship for the worse. Further, and this applies to too many current dealers, if you cherry pick allocations, you alienate your client base by always taking the best cars for yourself. And worse, reselling them later at significant personal profit.
The tiles were in the old factory as well as Enzo office as was noted. When they renovated the factory some were sold. I have several for my office and garage, one a present for my father who infected me with this disease and with whom I visited the factory as a boy ( before the 14yo rule). I remember the yellow tiles well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You confirm exactly what i thought after you mentionned those 2 dealership owners For you to say that their collections "dwarf" yours they must have 100 cars each
Great cars, Jag. Which is your fave - the one that if we all stopped eating sweets and drinking coke would be the last to go?!
Pure speculation, but these names - already mentioned in this thread I guess - sound good: 812 Mille Miglia 812 Mugello 812 Misano 812 Panamerica (but not an Italian name as per the last models Monza, Portofino...) As per the « targa » variant, we are now well used of Aperta, that would fit. Hopefully Ferrari will give a « real » name, mixing the 812 prefix and a historical name from the Ferrari glorious hours.
