Yes, my plan was to go up the left side when the lights went out, but Dean in the Chevron F5000 had the same idea so I was boxed in behind him and a car we'd both overtaken on my right. Into turn 1 two cars went by on the inside of the bloke on my right, so I was now 12th. Dean is a good pedler and it took me 2 laps to get by him on the inside of Southern Loop. Then next lap I passed a Ralt and was setting up to get Mal Oastler when I outbraked myself at Honda. Only just made it around the corner with the door wide open on the inside, so the Ralt got by. That was the last lap, so I finished where I started in 10th. However Dean is now behind me on the grid and I should be able to get by the Ralt and Mal on the start tomorrow. Amazing fun, I love my Indy car
Dean is a good driver any of those at the pointy end of a State race series in Sports Sedans can drive .
true .. I have NO interest in historic racing . 1. Much prefer 4 and 5 day drives like GAD/GG/FDGR. 2.The racing group I'd favour Group M'O racing has a number of cheat cars in it including the fake Formula one Brabham . 3.Been there done it and have no interest in spending 3 days at a race track for an hour or so of practice /racing , if your new to it fair enough and i understand why one would do it , but not me ..
Gives us a break , I did it for 20 years .....more then enough time in the saddle. We are all different , I prefer driving 400 or 500ks in day then a racetrack....simple.
