Do you mean manual to auto 993 vs manual to F1 F355?

I’m saying manual 993s are worth more than the automatics 993s. Just like the manual 355s are worth more than the F1 355s.

Is there any car where the automatic is worth more than the manual version?

My Murcielago is worth nearly 50% more than an e-gear.

I think the one on BaT being yellow and F1 was a double whammy on desirability. Challenge grill and some wheels and yellow looks much better imo.

    Right, just confirming.

I don't think the F355 should really take a comparable hit as a 6-speed F1 has to be way better than a torque converter 4 speed.

Speaking of Porsches, it appears European Performance is the local specialist here in Raleigh.

I am told the previous owner traded in this 355 for a Porsche because the only independent Ferrari mechanic in town passed away 2 months ago. He was driving home from work one night in his Land Cruiser. Someone ran a red light and T-boned him. Tragic as he was well-known in the community. Another reminder life can be unexpectedly short.

Not sure if any of you were reading my comments on BAT, but I specifically asked about the condition of the rear buttress and tailights. Photos were then supplied and everything “appeared” good from the photos.

Here are the photos I took... For a car as finicky as the 355 with it’s series of cosmetic quirks, I felt it was best I fly in and know first hand (and eyes) exactly what I’m dealing with. After speaking with @carnutdallas , I will deal with the buttress crack repair on my own. The body has not been repainted, only the front bumper. It still has its single stage orange peel, which I corrected on my black car. It’s not a cosmetically (exterior) perfect car... they rarely are. I didn’t see anything that would deter me from owning such an imperfect beauty. It’s a done deal. Car will not leave California :).

    Very nice Ken!
As for the cracks, I've yet to see a non-spider 355 without them.
What are your plans for the stripe and the wheels?

The F1 system in a Ferrari is light years ahead of a Porsche Tiptronic.

I’d leave the buttress crack and just live with it as long as you keep it out of the rain. Mine and most the others have these or will have these. It’s really not a big deal.

It amazes me how few 355’s survived the modification monsters.

Wonder what my 15k mile 95 black on black Berlinetta would fetch on BAT. Not that I’m looking to sell.

If it’s clean, well maintained, and pure - plenty
