Agree with everything said. F8 is a love at first sight. 812 SF is a beast in its own league, standing all alone. Do not try to tame it.

It doesn't help that basically every supercar review ever says "the best way to enjoy this car is with traction control off, to feel the natural balance and handling characteristics". It's only when one gets on forums or talks with owners that don't drive for a living to find out that no, road or track it's never a good idea to take traction/stability control off. Never understood the car journalist obession with sliding around supercars

3000 miles and 2 track days the car has been rock solid, no rattles and no complaints. Even the exhaust note has gotten slightly louder with miles, however I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on an exhaust system- leaning towards the Kline full inconel.

After a week of driving the F8, jumped into the 58 this morning for a coffee run. Wow. The rumble , vibrations, and engine sound were wonderful. Not selling her anytime soon. I’m amazed at how well she runs with 132,000 miles on the clock.

    Another 812 SF victim.

I hope the driver and passenger are OK. It was clearly raining, I wonder what may have happened. Clearly not a car to be "horsing around" with, especially in the rain.

With you on that, IRL I stay mostly in Race but never even try ESC OFF or CT OFF. Race keeps my buttcheeks clenched enough.

I drove the F8 only in RACE and on more than a few occasions, on twisty, isolated country roads with both ESC and CT disabled. The car comes to life and significantly elevates the connectivity of the car to the driver.

I am not man enough... I know I can handle it in a controlled setting/environment but I would never on my leisure drives. My GT2 has seen the TC and SC off to make sure they work, engage and disengage but never for a spirited drive. Especially, being known as the widow maker.

The F8 remains surprisingly stable with the nannies disabled. The feedback of the suspension and steering feel is noticeably enhanced. On my second test drive of the F8, which included a quiet industrial area, alone in the car, much of the ride was ESC and CT off. That experience convinced me to buy it.

Did you get your 765 yet? Still have the F8? (I noticed you wrote in past tense in a prior post)

The 765 will arrive at the dealer by the end of this month. It arrived at the Baltimore port a week ago.I traded in the F8 for the 765.

Apparently you’re a lucky guy. The McLaren dealer in FL said there were only 300 allocations in the US. They had three at Festivals of Speed in Orlando yesterday. I believe this is called electric blue.

I’m biased but the F8 is better looking.
