I find it a bit weird Merlin autogroup bid 100k on that car. Do they want it for a client?
It’s nice except the seats which are basic

Won’t appeal to everyone but is very attractive to some-me included!

It's one of the most special FFs in the UK, the original owner had all his cars in Verde Mexico Metallizato, a Maserati colour. That car was built before pan roof became standard on Uk cars, which is 64/15 plate time. Roof aside, the custom options list is mega. Typical Meridien though, it's about 5-10k over priced and they are not ones to take an offer, but you can try. A lot of their customer base doesn't need to haggle...

I love it, I think it would be easy to re-sell, provided it was priced correctly and properly maintained etc.

To put it in perspective, I have a 64 plate FF with 85k of options, including pano roof, every carbon option, rear TVs etc etc on 18k miles and it's worth about £115k just now or so.

There were some updates made on 64 plate cars onwards which make them a little different to drive, mainly smoother software etc. The dealers know this and that's why you see a jump on 64 and onwards of about 10k. They're also more likely to have been serviced with the 7 year pack etc so the main dealers want them and not the earlier cars.

All FFs had the 7 year service pack, earlier cars included.

Yes but I've come across several cars that haven't followed that, even though it was included. There's examples where a supplying dealership (not main dealer) has stamped the book, alledgedly because they have serviced the car in question. This, of course, cheapens the history and also precludes most cars from being stocked by main dealers. If you call two or three of the cheaper ones for sale on Autotrader and ask to see the history, you'll be amazed!

Agreed - it seems bonkers to me that owners neglect to follow the service schedule in years 0-7 even though it's 'free' (in fact, they already paid for it in the sticker price). Once you're out of the 7 years, it becomes a moot point unless you plan to put a NP warranty on the car. My FF is 10 this year and it'll be getting its first service outside the Ferrari network. I'm not selling it any time soon so the applicablity or otherwise of the NP warranty is a non-issue.

Your comment about software upgrades from 2014 onwards is interesting. What was your source and do you know if the update can be retroflashed to older cars?

Or worse, a car with 7 years of main dealer history and then year 8 and 9 is from Bob's Backstreet Motors, Audi Specialist!

The main dealer told me about change made in 2014 when I was looking to buy. I drove 3 cars they had in stock, a 2011 a 2012 and the car I bought. The difference was quite obvious, particularly in the way that the PTU delivers traction to the front wheels. The earlier cars were much more mechanical feeling and it was obvious when the front wheels where being driven and when they were not, where the later car was almost indistinguishable. As we all know, low volume cars are often tweaked and updated through their life spans, much of it just happens behind the scenes in reaction to issues reported or customer feedback. If you're ever up in Scotland you can have a shot in mine to see if you can tell.

The prices have increased due to low inventories and people feel like it's the last time to own a piece of history with NA V12 from an Enzo. I believe this was the final design of Pinifarina before he died. I recently sold my FF and after we agreed to a price with the buy, which was essentially my asking I received 6 other offers, one from a business that was collecting all Pinifarina designs for $20k over my asking. Picture of my car attached. She is now on East Coast.

Wow! Your car sold for $160K? I honestly thought that was a fairly ambitious price. Don’t get me wrong it was a gorgeous car but IMO it was missing options like pano or CF.

Well his ad was asking 165 so that would mean 185k for a car with not many options... insane [emoji23]

I love my FF, however if someone prefers a loaded 2015 CPO white with Daytona black/red for $195k I would seriously have to think about it :)

Prices are well below what's discussed here on chat, just do a search.

There's only 16 on Autotrader, most of which have been for sale since at least January if not earlier. Good ones fly off the dealer lots.

I have a 612 for the past 5 years (and a newly acquired F12). I believe the Lusso's, the FF's, and the 612's will follow the same path down and largely on the same curve as the 456 and the 400 before it. They kind of bottom out at anout $50-$60K, at which point repairs/maintenance are the bigger issue than pruchase price. They will never be collectable (at best, only the limited editions are). The 2+2s are great cars, but the person who wants to buy a used Ferrari is typically think mid-engine. IMO, if you like it (and there's a lot to like) buy it, drive it, enjoy it, but just don't bank (literally) on it holding its value.
