The more I watch it the more I love it. The rear has something Enzo-esque I start to dream of a front engine halo car, like the One-77. that sktetch can pretty much be the basis for it.
Note that I’m predicting a sort of wing/bridge supporting the rear view camera. Also, note that the vertical vents at the outboard extremities would basically function like the “boxes” adjacent to the exhaust as seen on some of the mules.
I think the rear like that would be cool and feasible. I can see a decent correlation both with the mule and some of the comments from those who have seen the car. Sorry not a fan of One-77
Absolutely... Freakin Dan Jewett*. Ruined my plans. I made a puppet after him to put needles in it. *New husband ot Mackenzie Ex-Bezos. I had great plans for me & her, including several one-offs.
As a Seattle local, I feel your pain. I had a chance, I just had to be a teacher at the school her kids go to!
I had previously thought there must be some mechanical stuff below the rear deck to justify losing the rear window. However.....your drawing makes me think again - it does indeed look aggressive, as many are saying, and looks like the styling treatment may well justify the approach taken. It looks really sporty and has an iconic-type appearance.
@SeattleStew beat me to it but was going say you should have become a math teacher! (LOL, unless you already are one.)
But, doesn't really explain why the windows were taped over on some mules... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ahaha Oh my... If my former math teachers read that, they will probably laugh their ass off for a good 24 hrs.
Manzoni and his team are artists—only artists could make the Monza SP. More of this DNA must filter down to the street cars. Hoping to see some of that magic with LB.
Agree. Those scoops at that location will not scoop much unless assisted by something—probably just fans. The simplest arrangement would dump this air into the exits, both sides, and thus reduce drag while improving flow over the rear spoiler. I think the scoops will need some mechanical assistance since the low pressure wake behind the car won’t be powerful enough to counter all the losses in the air circuit.
The engine is NA, yes, but, the boost does not route to the engine at all, it directly spins the transmission which is located at the rear of the car... This patent application would appear to explain why there are no "electric warnings" on the 812VS test mules...
If being a math teacher got me Ferraris, sign me up! In his case, I'd say it paid off. In my case, I'll stick to my day job lol. Love the renderings showing up. Can't wait to see the real car and understand the tech in it.
I even posted here (in this thread months ago) a drawing of an EGT directly coupled to the gearbox (that's the so called "turbo compound", a commercial device fitted to a well known Euro truck). I hoped there was that on the trunk, but nobody confirmed yet. Ciao
Even though I’m not a fan of shark fins and the mules don’t seem to have one, this would be a good opportunity to use a fin since there’s no rear window. My idea—based on what I think I’m seeing in the leaked picture—is a small “hoop” wing with 2 little uprights and the camera on the underside of the wing spanning the uprights. I didn’t draw it well as I was rushing to do the sketch while having breakfast, ha-ha
