Today was another FCA Carby run...the first one since COVID. We met at 9am behind the Burvale at the coffee shop for a coffee and catch up before driving along some fabulous winding roads to the next coffee shop in Gembrook for about 30 mins. Then we continued along some excellent mountain roads including the Kinglake Rd from Healesville (one of my favourite roads) to De Bortoli winery for lunch, . There was almost no traffic, which meant you could see nothing but OHOS as far as the eye could see in front and behind. I love that! What I really like about these drives is that none of the people attending are the usual "look at me" people, but just seriously enthusiastic car guys. It wasn't just a drive along a highway to an overpriced and overcrowded restaurant or winery, but rather a spirited (albeit safe) drive along winding roads in good condition to an excellent meal at a reasonable price at a magnificent establishment. 22 cars booked. Even with the rain, 25 turned up!! A great day was had by all. PS and BQ did an excellent job with the navigation notes too, which were spot on the whole way. It was great to catch up with lots of old friends, some of whom I've known since the mid 80s. Congrats to the organisers and I can't wait for the next one. But... you don't have carbies! (In a box doesn't count). Oh, and your front indicator lights are faded.
Correct! You don't see that often. More importantly from a historical perspective, of course, 3 fibreglass 308GTBs They were the true gems OLIO
