I think he did have a 26R, but that doesn't look like it. The guards are flared on a 26R, although those wheel spinners look like 26R ones - I'd need a better view. Most 26R's had fared-in headlights, but the very early ones still ran the pods

Anyway, got water on the ignition after washing it the other day, and noticed the mess the wiring is in - no less than 4 crimp terminals holding the coil wires together, and lots of wires going nowhere. I rewired the car from the firewall back years ago, but never tackled under the bonnet. Anyway, ripped it all out and wired up the coil properly. Hopefully, I haven't unplugged anything important . Wheel alignment tomorrow, if I can get it out of my property (it's a little boggy). And if the road flooding has receded. And if I can get it started.
