Good point , however I dont think it matters - I believe ferrari could happily call it that and seemed a v specific track to have its young F1 drivers showcasing ( albeit hybrid SF90) tech in a recent video ...... just thinking ....

I would....for the same money I can think of several cars that far far exceed it in beauty with more than sufficient emotive capability.

Let’s see...for same money as that hideous creature I can fill my garage with:
    F12tdf
    F40
    599GTO
    812SF
    812GTS
    458 Speciale Aperta
    458 Speciale
    16M
and.....have enough money leftover to pay all taxes, insurance, petrol, and most expenses for all those cars for years to come....

    Hmmm, working? LOL

Very inconsiderate of Ferrari to choose my busiest time in months to parade a camo’d car around...

Nevertheless, I have a few ideas and clues...

In the meantime, what the h-ll is that thing behind the rear wheel? Almost looks like a downward exhaust (Pininfarina-Honda HP-X?) dumping into and out of a 3-sided heat shield.

I alternately thing this is just a the air exit of the supposed fans, with the exhaust just inboard of this, but:
1/ there’s what looks like heat discolouration, and
2/ I don’t see an exhaust tip inboard, even though there’s a cut-out in the camo

I think you are most understanding the Imola a bit, it’s bought for fun by people that like the brand who probably already either have or could have all the cars that you have already mentioned. It is not an either or. This is when money is no object ...”Would you like a 1 of 5 Huayra Imola for $5.4m?” ... answer “why not ... what else am I going to do with all this money? ”. If money were no object for me (unfortunately not the case) I would buy every Ferrari past and present and probably every new Pagàni coming out too. I love having a Pagàni and I love being able to email or call the founder whenever I want. That’s not something you can say of many car companies these days.

I hope Ferrari can keep much of the surprise prior to launch. Leaks ruin the “wow” moment.

This is why I suggested a seperate thread where people can post pre-release pics. Then we can read the thread without spoilers.

The electric turbo explanation is by far the most probable. Little did 812 GTS buyers realize THEY were getting the last normally aspirated atmospheric V12 Ferraris ( 812 Superfast buyers got the last normally aspirated AND non-gpf V12 Ferraris).

Jeez, this place is such a rumor mill!

That's just the sound of a typical heavily overmuffled test car, as exhaust rushes through the pipes & mufflers at high velocity. This has absolutely nothing to do with hybridization.

And because I will only have to justify myself later: I am sure this car will be fully NA and non-Hybrid. However, you can never fully rule it out - My point is just that this sound doesn't necessarily have anything to do with being a hybrid or a turbo. It can come from NA and turbo cars - It just tends to be more common on turbocharged vehicles as the exhaust gasses tend to flow quicker on boost (Pista makes exactly the same sound at WOT). In this case, we are talking about circa 6.5L of V12 NA force and 9k+ RPM... Lots of air being moved.

God forbid I get proven wrong... :)

Which would mean TDF owners would have the last NA V12 special if that’s the case
