^By the way, don't know your schedule, but if you can, stop by the Midpoint Cafe in Adrian, which is to the west on 40. The pie there is excellent!

I just read the other day that a House of Pies is opening about 5 minutes from my house.

I know I won't go very often, but I will check it out.

I used to frequent one in Los Feliz, CA.

Go-To was at that time called Western Breakfast, involved lots of plates & was perfect for someone with time on a Saturday Morning, a newspaper, a voracious appetite and high metabolism.

Pop would get the Cobb Salad, in which the entire farm was deployed. Massive.

I don't know how many dishwashers they had, but that was definitely a full-time job.

Huge assortment of pies on hand. Only one I'd have was Blueberry Cream Cheese. That was to honor two wimmenfolk who consecutively and separately saw fit to make me one from scratch for at least a half-dozen Birthdays straight.

Think I liked House Of Pies. Was about 15 to 16 years ago I ate there somewhere in California.

Getting a pepperoni calzone for tonight.

No pictures. Had microwaved pancakes and a cookies and cream milk shake. Blue Bell of course.

Making spaghetti and meatballs at home. O.k. I'm reheating moms sauce and adding Kirkland Italian style meatballs. Still its a home cooked meal. I'm sort of tired of going out and getting take out.

Some kinda stuffed mushroom was waiting for me. It was delicious.

I’ve gained 18lbs over two years. Have to stop the trend. I’m only over about 60 calories a day when I tracked it. Amazing over time how it adds up like compound interest lol.

Ramen from a few days ago. A little fish sauce, French fried onions, gojuchang, sliced serranos, and a couple of sliced pickled habaneros.

Last night. Continuing with the "these peppers ain't getting any fresher" theme. Chicken with onions, garlic, serrano, Anaheim and poblano pepper.

Pizza tonight. Topped with pickled serranos and habanero. That's it! Pepper stash fully abated!

Still deciding. Either sushi or a calzone or fish and chips. Maybe a burrito.

Lovely 80 F day here. Our from-seed peppers got their first taste of real sunlight.
About 30 min in a shady spot, out of the wind.
Mix of poblano, Calabrian, habanero, jalapeno. I'll figure it out once we get fruit!

    Steaks on the grill tonight...T

Well, I'm officially old! Wife recommended we share a steak rather than we each get one. With a side salad and a veg, I had to agree with her, couldn't eat a whole Costco prime ribeye. ☹️

At least it was a great steak. Grilled. Over charcoal, pecan and oak. Lovely weather.

I was at Costco the other day and didn’t even browse the meat area... so sad! Need to clean out what we have.

You find that the panko or whatever coatings gets soggy by munch time or inhaled to fast? I usually put it on the bottom and top with fish....
