The answer is: I don't know. It was far too rich, which is a good bit of safety in a high-revving engine, but it was way over. And it was far too advanced.
Enjoy its a wonderful Island . Someone made comment that on my last trip , i drove a number of Targa stages ....there challenging if I'm thinking of some of the roads .
We did a shed load of the stages when you and I went down.....all the really great one's,Cethana,Sideling,Gunns,Natone etc etc.
Yep sort of,Sideling takes you to St Mary's but not Targa to Fingle etc.it's tto straight for Targa. We did that route and if you recall you crest a hill and you're greeted with seeing nearly 10 klm's of road in front of you....some of us had the guts to challenge our valve bouncing skills in top!!!!!
...and lots and lots. Luckily, there's a local nut and bolt shop that was open this morning, so I bought a replacement nut, and a few spares. Bought a tap and die set from Supercheap while I was out, so fixed the LHF suspension pick-up. Decided to do a spanner check, and found the other side was stripped as well! Just as well I bought some spares this morning. Also found every bolt holding the sump on was loose, so tightened them up, too. After that, I get a message from my navigator that Albanian goatherds are now allowed in to the state, so, finally, things might be looking up!* *Until the next f***up
The Albanian and Mrs Albania ate and drank me out of house and home yesterday. Very pleased you can now take him with you. Now for Victoria, we just need to go from Orange to Green.
You do Elephant Pass, which comes out at St Mary's. Then you have a transport stage back down towards Fingal. The rally deviates off the main road at Fingal, and goes and does a stage up at Rossarden, before heading back down to Avoca. Rossarden is a scary place. Very remote. Not much for the locals to do there apart from knock up family members, and think about how they are going to torture a tourist who takes a wrong turn and ends up in the wrong territory People make jokes about people having two heads but no teeth, well that is Rossarden What they would make of someone turning up in an old Roller, I'm not quite sure, but they would have the Banjo's out welcoming
Fingal-Avoca drive is one of my favs in Tassie ,often thought of doing the loop to Rossarden and down to Fingal, might do it in May when I'm back over there in the old T series .
Yes but the old T I can put on the ferry and not worry about dents , it is bullet proof and the most comfortable car to ride in ...so FO till fight night ..
Fine sleep in the XKE 2 pus 2 thingy on GAD. So where in Tassie in May for 4 nights I can take the new GTS,the Jag or one of the other two...we prefer the comfort of the old T.
Just remember to pack spare tyre tube ,check ya current tyre tubes are not cheap thin Chinese ones and check the inner of your wheels for rust flakes ..
