Thanks so much all for the kind words. We have a great relationship with Novitec and Novitec N.A. and we both will always do absolutely anything and everything in the end to ensure that all of you are taken care of

 

So Sean, since you have heard more combinations of the Novitecs than anybody else, can you give us a rundown of your favorite combinations? Valved vs. X pipe, decat vs 100 cel, etc. If someone is looking to hopefully raise the pitch and provide a little more excitement, which way should they go?

 

Personally, I like the Non valved with cats gone lol ...BUT that is highly aggressive and really comes down to how much the neighbors love you

My next option would be Valved and Catless. Almost as angry, but you have the valve option still for cold starts etc.

 

How similar would 100 cel and non valved be to castles?

 

Not far off really. It would be a little quieter but certainly less fumes lol

 

Well Sean... It wasn't really meant as a compliment but more as a fact! The compliment you take is because you represent TAG well and it would not be fair to you if that is not mentioned and you being thanked for it.

 

Neighbors love changes. It may be OK when they see you driving by at 12-5 PM weekdays. However, their love will be conditional and suffer an extreme shift on weekends, particularly 6-7 AM.

I haven't heard it with such arrangement, but I would dare to say that it will likely be obnoxiously loud. In which turn, the car will be renamed to HOA complaint maker or the disturbance of the peace.

 

Do you get much as far as fumes with 100cel?

 

A little more than stock but not as noticeable as a full cat-less set.

 

I don’t want to risk voiding my warranty by changing the cats. I currently have the valves pinned open.
What difference do you think I would see with a valveless Novitec x pipe, leaving everything else as stock?

Made a tremendous difference for me. Gives the sound more of a focused tone and some actual drama on the higher end of the spectrum.

 

Ok thanks - did you go for stainless steel or Inconel?

 

Inconel...if it makes it the tiniest bit higher pitched, I wanted it.

 

Hi, did you just change your an x pipe and valve controller/pinned open. Nothing with sport cats or aftermarket exhaust?


I recall space was tight behind the rear diffuser and aftermarket exhaust if some brand would start melting the carbon fiber.


I am Interested in installing an xpipe only and valve controller. I am not wanting it to be too loud but be able to change the volume and improve tone when appropriate.

 

I installed an X pipe, but that is a whole new exhaust. I did a valveless, and it was a huge step up. You can get the valved of course, but it’s not that loud due to the turbos.

 

Oh yes. I got confused. I thought the x pipe is just itself like in the f12/812. This is in the back with part of exhaust.

For what you are looking for, the x-pipe rear section with no valves would be a great change

 

Just installed a novitec inconel valved exhaust on my pista spider. Haven't drove it enough yet but on my first few drives it seems as if it's quieter than the OEM exhaust. This make any sense or am I delusional?

 

Why do these sound drastically different?
