Perhaps to extract as much as possible the disruptive airflow and allow the diffuser to operate optimally.

Most accurate drawing/rendering I have thus far seen in comparison to the real thing. Now replace the GTS wheels with TDF wheels and we are in business.

    Thank you :)

No. I can't stand the TDF rims anymore. :D Please stop! I sincerely hope that they have come up with new, original rims. And maybe they have even rethought the carbon ones for a moment, which are not exactly splendido_O I hope something like SF90 or Roma or Portofino M, clearly more aggressive!

I imagine the ferrari staff watching this thread... looking at the screen with sunglasses (In France, we believe that Italians are born with sunglasses, it is a part of their body)

"quel ragazzo è bravo ... davvero bravo"

Yes, I remember Mr. Massini confirming in another thread that there are two full-time employees at Ferrari, paid to monitor forums and websites.

This is the best rendering of any car prior to release that I have ever seen. By anyone. Anywhere. Ever. Bravo!

What has been captured effectively here and in the silver rendering showing rear three quarters view is a better indication of the complexity of form on the front spoilers and rear diffusers.

Previous renders of this car were showing a simple ‘whale shark’ mouth opening at the front and a simple flat diffuser in the rear. Those were not accurate. These are much closer to the real thing. The front spoilers are as complex as on the pista and the rear diffusers are nearly as complex as an FXX car with large vertical fins. These latest renderings have nailed it pretty damn close!

Also, to those speculating about the extent of changes for the lights and the interior ... don’t confuse a Versione Speciale with a Modificata. The mission and design mandate of a Versione Speciale is to push the track performance of the standard road car to its highest possible limit and still have it be streetable. Design changes are essentially limited to the exterior and are driven by aerodynamics and downforce for that reason. It is not meant to redesign or update the over all design of the base car. That is a mid cycle refresh or Modifacata. Think 458 to 488. No Versione Speciale has ever used different tail lights or different headlights. They sometimes will add or take away vents or styling elements near the lights but they don’t change the shape or aparatus of the lights themselves. Likewise the interior architecture is never changed. The dash design is the same. The vents are the same. The only difference is that they usually delete the glove box for ‘weight savings,’ which, in the spirit of pushing the track car part of the ethos, I get, but it’s really annoying for what is still a road car.

In terms of racing and track focused modifications to the drive train and exterior styling, this Versione Speciale will be the most aggressive and radical yet. The closest thing to a racing car this category has ever seen.
