Yep thats right, another F1 issue thread!

    Current problems are,
Sometimes struggles to select 3rd or 4th gear, normally downshifts
When in 4th gear cruising the car can display 6th gearvery occasionally.

Having had a few gear selection issues last year before it was stored for winter i did a little research, had the system bled, there was tons of air in it and this pic was taken.

An apparent leak which could be the issue (no idea what or where this is) but i hope this is the issue

Having just dusted the car off after 6 months this weekend the problem has not healed itself much to my annoyance!

First question, has anyone any idea what this may be from the terrible photo i was sent?

Second question, clutch was replaced 9000miles ago, has not been tracked or driven regularly hard at all.
When serviced last year it said clutch wear 14% i hope this is how much the clutch has worn and not how much it has left. Is that correct? Rule the biggest job out first i hope

    Thanks

While I don’t have any technical insight into your situation and I hope you get it resolved quickly and painlessly, I am amazed at how few owners experience F1 problems, given the age of these cars and the fact that most of the 360s and 430s made were F1.

    That is the clutch block

Is it leaking ? Or is that residue from the bleed

    360 or early 430

At 9000 ..14% seems on low but possible

    Thanks for the reply,

    Its an 06 430.

He said the residue was there before and would explain the issue i assume.

This only really came on after the car was serviced (at ferrari) so could have been brought on when they bled possibley. Would this just be a case of a new bolt? New line?

9000miles since clutch replacement, car has done 32k total

    Appreciate the help

Get an old tooth brush and some oil solvent, get the block clean and dry- then see if you can find a leak. The seal rings each side of the banjo fitting are a favourite

I had a similar issue in mine when some times it wouldn't be able to go from 3 to 4 gear, did many things and in the end it was a potentiometer fault. This are located in the selespeed, there are two. One of them was not doing the complete range. You might want to check this are working fine.
