Hi, I’m looking for a Speed sensor 116987 for my 328..
Apparently the same part was used on Testarossa, BBi and a few other models..

If anyone has a spare they would like to part with please send me a message..

    Thanks,
    Maurice.

Does anybody know if there’s any difference between 116987 and 149095 (or any other car applications mentioned here? Alfa, Maserati, or Veglia?)
It seems odd that the same part for a 512tr or F512M would have a completely different number and also price (Ricambi example screenshot)
Maybe it has to be with the calibration of different wheels? 16 vs 18?
Or it has nothing to do with it and all different versions (Testarossa, 512s, Alfa, Maserati or Veglia) would work just fine?

as I see it the sensor has nothing to do with the tire sizes. the sensor gets signal from the gearbox and gives this signal to the speedometer. so I would say the speedometer is this one what has to be checked if you use other wheels.
those sensors looks equal, except the wire connector. but I see no reason to pay 25 % more only because of an other connector.
on my BB once the sensor was not working anymore and I found from FIAT an equal sensor. a little different shape and other connector but still works fine for not even 10 % of the money such sensor at that time cost at ferrari.

Yes basically that’s what I read in this thread, that all the other applications would work, but when I called a Parts reseller they told me the new part number was the 149095, so it confused me as “maybe” they are calibrated differently. I PMed Adrian (FChatter "alhbln") as he was trying to rebuild the 116987 years ago.

    512TR, F512M, 355 are 149095

Testarossa, Boxer, F40, 308, etc are 116987 (superseeded from 197181)

Post on another site and the Fchat 348 section says internals are the same.

197181 that was superseeded by 116987 had the same connector as 149095 and included the adapter.

Cross reference post by Ernie in 348 parts thread:
    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/348-parts-thread.50339/page-23

Link by Ezored in the cross reference thread about testing them:

Maser part superseeded by F part:
    https://www.eurospares.co.uk/Parts/393650106/Maserati

F part now same or cheaper than alternatives, so buy the Ricambi part:

    Alfa 60575205
    Veglia (Borletti) 68 0517
    Maserati 393650106
    Ferrari 116987 / 149095
