The choice of having my Ferrari F1 either at Maranello or in my bedroom would be quite a difficult choice quite frankly!

I dont want to speak out of turn, so I will just say an FXX owner who is a member here recently posted pics on FChat of his FXX having been delivered to his home in the US after he decided to have it at home.

Would love to see or hear more about your experience with F1...

What can I say.... i think it is the ultimate (car) goal. Nothing - really nothing - else ever comes close to an F1. I have driven powerfull racecars but the F1 is another universe. its a difference like a Private Jet and Fighter Jet.. Its demanding, tight, stiff like hell, incredibly fast and extrem in every aspect.

I have a 488 GT3, which I've run both de-restricted and in IMSA power spec. The derestricted GT3 makes ~580 HP. The Modificata makes 690HP. It's going to be a nutty track car!

Ferrari quotes the GT3 at "around 600hp" (BOP limited, whatever it means) at only 7,000 rpm and the engine displacement is 3996 cc, i.e. more than that of a 488 GTB - so I can't see how a truly derestricted GT3 engine would not exceed the 488 GTB power. Of course it depends on what "derestricted" means, but if "derestricted" allows some remap there is probably a big potential for minimal expense.

Compared to a 488 GTB, the 488 GT3 has different turbos, fuel system, intercoolers, ECU, etc. Unfortunately you can't just dial up the boost and go racing. Even at 600HP the EGTs on a 488 GT3 are too high for reliable operation.

    Interesting, thanks for posting!!
He said he heard some clients have asked for full naked carbon fiber over the whole body. Can’t imagine that would be inexpensive!

    450K price difference ....
it has open restrictors, re-programmed ECU and other pistons
you get a passenger set + belts
a gentleman driver in a "standard" 488 GT3 will never notice the difference

Is that a GT-M or a GT3/E and is there any way to tell them apart visually?

the modificata can be recognized by the black splitter behind the frontwheels.. the GT3 and GTE versions doesn't have that.

Interesting data point - I have a simulator model for my 488 GT3 which produces lap times very similar to what I get in the actual car. For fun I've got a simulator model which raises the power curve to match the 488M. The 488M runs about 3 secs/lap faster at typical local tracks - Laguna Seca, Sonoma - a bit more at fast tracks like Road America. It's really quite nutty.
