I greatly prefer the Campagnolo sunburst wheels to the later 10 hole alloys.

I’m the opposite. Love the 10 hole. Sunburst not so much.

Was red / black - original specification when sold in 2016. Last seen by new owner (unknown) at Silverstone Classic 2018(?) at FOC display with new interior and wing mirrors.

Wheels are incorrect for a road Short Nose 275 GTB which has been pointed out previously in this thread about this car. Should be 14" RW 3874 Borranis or Sunburst Campagnolo Alloys.

It is not “incorrect” for an owner to select an optional competition 275 Borranis to drive on. While the original Campagnolo magnesium wheels of the starburst type for short-nose or the later square-hole for long-nose may be correct and original if delivered as such respectively, the fact is that these magnesium wheels are now very old and subject to both external/internal corrosion, fatigue and potential failure if driven hard. In a conversation with a magnesium wheel manufacturer, the advice was blunt - not wise to drive hard on a 50+ year old magnesium wheel. This is the reason why some 275 owners use newly manufactured 15” Roelofs magnesium wheels or competition Borranis to drive enthusiastically. Just common sense to use the stronger wheel options for road use. Save the original Campagnolos for show. No one to my knowledge has reproduced either the starburst or square-hole Campagnolos in original form.

With Borranis optional, this particular 10 hole design alloy wheel was introduced around 1966 and made by Campagnolo. They were used in 14" diameter on the Long Nose 275 GTB, 275 GTB/4, 275 GTS/4 NART, 330/365 GTC/GTS and in 15" diameter on the 330 GT 2+2 SII and 365 GT 2+2 which later used the Star Alloys.

They were not used across the whole range as did not appear on the 500 Superfast and 365 California.
