neglected 612 need full drain refill

hello guys..
this is for 2005 612 6000 miles.
finally got all the fluids and filter and start draining and refilling.
my question is, is there any dip stick recall on 2006 612? I drained 12 quarts from 2 plugs including filters and refilled 12 quarts. after 5 mins of warmup, engine dip stick showing overfill by more then 2 inches from max level mark while car on idle. where did i go wrong?
2nd. differential dripping fluid from couple of banjo lines. (exchanger delivery hose is dry) can i try to tight those line and what are the torque spec for those lines?

Get a turkey baster and start pulling some of it out before you foul the MAF sensors and intake manifold. Check the MAF sensors and make sure they are clean. Normal trick for F133 engines is to put 10 quarts in her and then sneak up on the final amount a bit at a time. You never get all the oil out, so no way she will ever take the full 13.73 quarts and individual cars seem to vary in the amount of oil they take.

 

Get some new copper washers on the leaking banjo bolts. Torque spec is in the workshop manual. Usually there’s a list of all the torque settings at the start of each section. Or maybe it’s the end of each section- I struggle to remember. [emoji16]

And these fitting belong to differential right? Just making sure before I drain something else

oh yeah its a amber color f1 hydraulic fluid. i can see the reservoir but cant reach it. is there any procedure to follow in order to reach to the refill cap?

 

Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Remove the heat shield and reach way up there. Hopefully the cap is not too tight. Really need to have her up on a lift but can be done. Skinny arms (and a removable access panel they never installed) help.

A3.03 Checking F1 gearbox system oil level

Checking the F1 gearbox system oil level

To check the oil level and, if necessary, top it up, the vehicle must be perfectly level, the engine cold,

the circuit filled and completely bled, and serviced in compliance with the intervals set out in the

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE.

For a better understanding, the figures show the operation as carried out on a kit F1 gearbox at the bench.

The oil level is checked by the level sensor (1)

found on the tank (2).

If the oil level is low, as indicated by the special

light (3) on the instrument panel, top up

following the procedure described further on.

Get hold of a syringe (F) with a capacity of 60

ml, a piece of transparent rubber tube (G)

with sufficient diameter of an approx. length

of 1 meter and of the tool to top up the oil

level (AV 8066) (B).

Connect one end of the tube to the syringe and

the other end to the tool tube used to top up

the oil level (AV 8066) (B).

Remove the rear section of the underfloor ( M2.13).

Fit inside the cap (E) only the ring nut (A) of the

tool (AV 8065), without its pin (D), with the

missing section in correspondence with the

breather tube.

Screw the pin (D) of the tool (AV 8065) into the

holes of the ring nut (A).

Before unscrewing the cap from the F1 kit oil

tank, clean the area above the cap

carefully with compressed air to prevent

dirt from entering the tank and

contaminating the oil during the check.

Unlock the cap (E) of the tank working

counterclockwise.

Remove the ring nut (A) and completely unscrew

the cap (E) by hand.

Turn the ignition key to position II (on) and wait until the F1 system pump starts.


Right after the pump has been turned off, i.e.

when the pressure in the hydraulic circuit

between 50 / 52 bars has been reached, fit

the end of the tube of the tool (AV 8066) (B)

inside the oil tank, keeping it, then, resting on

the outer edge of the threads holding the cap.

In such a position, the end of the tool tube (B)

rests on the inside disc (C) of the oil tank.

At this point, inject a minimum quantity of the

prescribed oil.

Suck the excess oil until only air is being sucked.

The oil level must be 5±1 mm above the disc

(C) inside the tank: the tool itself will make it

possible to reach the prescribed level

automatically, as indicated by the mark at

the end of the tube.

Close the cap tightly.

Refit the rear section of the underfloor ( M2.13).

Negative - these are all part of the f1 actuator. You do have flexi hoses with banjo bolts on them with gearbox/diff fluid, but these are the ones for the oil cooler on the back.

612 and 599 do not have a powered e-diff like 430 does.

im getting closer to finish this 612! finally got my motive brake bleeder and start to bleed the system but it only work properly on rear passenger side. driver rear has no pressure, i tried both nipples but no fluid, both front caliper drips only few drops, (but extremely dirty fluid) thats it. i set 15 then 20 psi on bleeder but no change. what it could be, clog lines or stuck valve? where to start? thanks in advance guys..
