My thought is , I'd rather put the stamp duty payable money into another asset or item be it a holiday or furniture or house ...each to there own
Fair enough, but 46k on a 1m car is probably less than a dodgy broker's fee. And I'd be embarrassed to drive around with a crappy "H" plate on a car like that.
Easy to say , so often they have the rare cars on there books . A lot of high end owners , sell through brokers .
Wish mine were all on historic plates...I wouldn’t have to work like a blue arse fly to pay all of my Rego’s.....I could buy some more nail guns and tools...and do a pizza oven extension...
The registration is not really the problem, it's the stamp duty which does not apply on the Victorian CPS.
Oh well. I'd just see it as the cost of doing business in exactly the same way you see the cost of some wanker broker cleaning up for doing **** all. I still wouldn't drive around with a tight-arse's plate.
what was the stamp duty on your '71 LHD 911t sportomatic targa converted turbo, with the aftermarket turbo?
Same as NSW Carl...I bought the 308 in WA and paid no stamp duty and did not need a blue slip...It was so seamless plus I pay $99 a year to enjoy it on the odd occasion...
So after the ridiculous stamp duty when purchasing, what's the saving each year from having it on the ugly plates?
