    The challenge for ferrari is that a FUV actually has to run and be capable of daily use w/o constantly needing the shop or battery tenders etc.

    Is that really an issue with the current Ferraris? 458 has s shown to be Uber robust as has the 488 and I’m assuming the f8 as well.

    People were driving Lussos as daily drivers. Is the stigma of not driving your ferrari and putting miles on it a thing of the past?

    IDK about stigma, just my (and friends) experience trying to drive and enjoy our F cars....they are always having some sort of issue. Even my Lusso wasn’t immune.
    MY four 458’s were incredible, but fragile and needy.
    Our Performantes were rock solid. Aventadors not so much.
    I would imagine the Urus is solid given it is mostly just an Audi.

    All Ferraris need to he on a tender unless regularly driven. Not so much with the Lambos.

    Agreed on what you say about the Lusso.

    Disagree on the Urus - I really wanted to buy it, the "Lambo truck" idea is appealing to me (Ferruccio Lamborghini originally made tractors), but apart from being "too Audi" and having FAKE ENGINE SOUND coming through the speakers, the size is just too big for me. Driving dynamics can't be good in anything that tall and that big. Its impossible. Maybe its also because I'm european, and we are used to smaller cars, and our cities have narrow, crowded streets (this is important)

    So what's the use of a small SUV like the Macan? Well, its convenient: the trunk is big, a family of four can fit easily, its easy to get in and out, you don't have to worry about hitting the curb with your door when you get out, you can simply park anywhere because of the higher ground clearance, and if you go on vacation in the countryside you can just speed on dirty roads without worrying about potholes and whatnot. You can take it to a ski trip with summer tires and just keep driving safely even if there's some snow on the road.

    All of the above is important for me. Especially because on the summer I spend a lot of time in a rural area with lots of dirt roads, so a high ground clearance makes my life much easier. But with something like the Macan you can have the best of both worlds: the convenience of a SUV, but when you are downtown or on the highway you enjoy better driving dynamics because it feels more like a hatchback than a SUV. So I think Porsche really nailed it with the Macan - would take a Macan EVERYDAY over a Cayenne.

    Would love to see Lambo or Ferrari creating something that could compete with the Macan.

    Sounds like the Macan is a good fit for you but for many others like myself prefer the Urus for many reasons. I also just got the Merc G63, I am wondering if I will keep both or prefer one over the other. Regarding the FUV, I am certain Ferrari will design it to comfortable carry 4 adults and have some space into rear for bags. They will not build a mini SUV like a Macan which by the way has grown since its inception.

    Well said, but you actually use an suv as intended whereas most just buy for bling and want the bigger and shinier and brag rigs.

    I understand what you say, but its still strange to me. In my mind an SUV is a compromise: you get something that doesn't drive as well as a car and doesn't look as well as a car because you *need* higher ground clearance and AWD - for example because you have to do a lot of dirt/bad maintained roads. Or you usually drive in rural settings and you need to take your vehicle to places where a lower car could limit your options in term of parking, etc. That's the case for me, for e.g.I like to go to certain beaches where a normal car would just struggle with rocks, sand, etc. - so I know I'm not taking my Ferrari to those beaches, I'm taking my SUV. I could also understand someone who is older and wants to get in and out the car easily. But what I'm sure is that If I want something shiny and beautiful plus the brag rights I'm buying an aggressive supercar and not an SUV, lol!!

    I would love to see the G-Wagon being used off-road though, supposed to be a real mover.

    I spend the summer in a mediterranean island and there are plenty of G-Wagons doing light off-roading. Nothing extreme - I'm talking about dirt roads where a car would struggle a bit - places where you can technically take a normal car, but only being very careful and driving super slow. Plenty of people take their g-wagons there, especially to reach beaches or beach restaurants.

    That makes sense to me. Its the kind of place where having an SUV or a truck just makes your life easier, you can just go without worrying of having a rock destroying the bottom of your car, or hitting the ground with your nose as soon as you are not careful. But having a G-Wagon just to cruise around an urban area? To do highway trips? LOL, I think I will never be able to understand such a thing. When you *really* enjoy a G-Wagon is when you are on a dirt road in the country, carelessly driving around places that would be challenging for a normal car. Just like when you *really* enjoy a 488 pista is on the track, lol!!

    On the contrary, taking an exotic/supercar to a place like Ibiza seems like a bad idea - but there are plenty of them. Only a few decent roads, and maaaaany dirt roads... To get to all the beautiful restaurants/places you need to do dirt roads and very often some light offroading - and this means that with an exotic you can't roam freely. You can basically stay on the main roads, which are just a few and take you nowhere interesting. Plus all the sand everywhere, etc.

    Every vehicle has its place IMO.

    If I were to guess I would say the same. They still have plenty of orders for F8's and F8 spiders. Get the SUV out there first.

    I talked to my salesman last week who is usually a pretty good straight shooter and my impression was -- the sales people don't have a clue when it will be shown or much more information about it than we do.

    Exactly, I was referring to Marcel Massini when I said “Fchatters in the know”, frankly I trust the word of Fchatters more so than any dealers/sales people but nonetheless June should be exciting.

    I really hope we see LB in June, that would be awesome, couldn't give a rats ass about the FUV or whatever they call it. Bring on Little Brother already!

    I'm hoping for a P80/C (in styling terms) for the road. Flying buttresses, flat rear deck, stalking cat like haunches, sharp front end.
