A pic from the test flight I did after the jet came out of maintenance. It's the only time I've actually flown it with no-one else on board. It felt great to close the doors and blast off on my own with no instruction except to "test" it, even if I couldn't really throw it around. One of the things about ground crew in the RAAF is that when you leave the sqn is you get a flight in the F-111 ...... unless you've been a bad boy I got selected to do many special jobs on the "pig" from improving the TFR and fine tuning the weapons delivery accuracy but I always had an authority problem so I missed out on a fly, depresses me just remembering it What height did you get to ?
